Well. I have been a long-time boxer, I dare to even say i have been around boxing longer than most. I started boxing season 2 in BC, and have never played a single toon since on its own without a multiboxing goal in mind.

I am taking a break (I would say quit, but I know I may come back, and depending on the changes in the near future perhaps even soon) but right now I have other priorities in mind, and I want to focus on those.

I have been starting to go to the gym, and I have found a great gym near my house here in Korea, and I have a good partner who keeps me motivated. My gym membership is expensive, though (even more so than my wow accounts, all 10 of them) and I am going to be substituting my 10 boxing for a gym membership for the next few months, see how it feels and if I am missing a lot by not playing WoW.

I started 10 boxing as a test, to see if I could do it, to see if it was fun, and if it was worth the money. I have decided that it is, it's probably been the best couple months I have spent, learning new things, setting up a big team and all the work that goes into it has made me happy. I am content to come back to WoW as a 10 boxer someday.

Right now, with raid progression so easy, with gear so futile (with Cata so close) I don't see the point spending 120 a month to get obsolete gear and pvp with broken mechanics. i will be hanging up my shoes, for now =)

I wanted to say thanks for LoB for having me and supporting me when you did, for those who put up with my dry humor and my hair-trigger temper at times. You are all great, please post more things that you accomplish and do as a group for me to see, I will still be on the forums, I'm sure =) (db.com tab is almost as well-worn as my email tab in firefox)

Thanks guys, and see you soon! (I still have some time on my accounts, so I may still do weeklys and stuff once a week for fun.)

Getting healthy is a great replacement for wow, good for you! Now when you come back and you are all fit you will feel even better playing :D

Good luck!

Take care Mcwrathy. Make sure you spend your time wisely, and take advantage of the gym membership!

Good luck with everything.

Best of luck!

And I hear they have these things called "girls" at gyms. They might be worth boxing.

Hey Mokoi,

Glad you had fun boxing and I'm happy your WoW money will go for something worthwhile (as opposed to booze or something).

Then again, you could do what I do... use money to 10-box, make a $120 investment in P90X DVDs, push-up bars, a door mounted pull-up bar, and a weight or two, then work out all you want for free. That program is wearing me out!

Anyway, best of luck with whatever you fill your days with (and your Korean language training "thing" ;))

I have considered it, but as I live in a South Korean apartment (a big one by even S Korean standards) its a bit too small for that. I have no separated rooms, and if I worked out hard here it would smell like a gym in a week and then
it would be terrible lol.

My gym is close-by and has a sauna (Korean saunas fucking rock) and is right next to my work, so i can go there before work and workout then hit the sauna / shower and go straight to work

I don't mind the cost, it's worth it, and they have all the smith machines, leg presses, incline benches, and all that jazz that wont fit into anyone's home.

no, that's a double barber-pole place.

Korean saunas are men only and the massages are all from men. But the showers and the soaking baths are awesome. Just picture a hot tub the size of a swimming pool.
