Need help with Keyclone and EQ2

I am wanting to use Keyclone to run EQ2. I am NOT running the 2 accounts on the same computer. I am running them each on it's own computer connected by network. I installed and registered a copy of Keyclone on each box. I can get Keyclone programs to recognize each other between two boxs. I am not getting any thing relayed (key strokes) to the "cloned" EQ2 window. It was my underestanding based on what I found on searchs here, that Innerspace was not needed to run it in this configuration. I can't seem to find that thread now with search, would be nice if EQ2 had it's own forum on this site to make it easier to find info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.



EDIT: Is there a program other than a game program to use to test if Keyclone is working across the 2 machines? ie Note Pad or someother common program.

Notepad will work to test I believe.

As for EQ2, I was only able to make it work with innerspace. Extensively six boxed From november - December, but Sony screwing the station exchange up ended that for me.

you can use notepad... but you must add the notepads manually... and when you do, make sure to click on the center of the edit area.. NOT the titlebar or menus.

once added, you should see the typed keys move between the systems.

as for EQ2, in order to process the keys, EQ2 requires itself to be the active window (make sure keyclone is not the active)

you could also use innerspace to lock the EQ2 window in the foreground if you want... might help

Played with it some more tonight. Have it working with note pad no problems. Two instances of note pad on box one and one on box 2. All send and recieve. When I run EQ2 on each box i get nothing. Tried and experment running one instance of EQ2 and note pad on box one and one instance of EQ2 and note pad on box 2. I bring both EQ2s to the front. When I hit a key in EQ2 on box one I get nothing in note pad on that box or EQ2 on the other box, but get key returns in the note pad on box 2. When I bring note pad on box 1 to front and type, nothing in the EQ2s but key returns again in the box 2 note pad. When I type in the EQ2 on box 2, get key returns in box 2 note pad and nothing at all on box 1. When I type in box 2's note pad instance I get nothing in any of the other windows. Not sure if you can follow all that or if it means anything if you can. Guess I will now have to spring for innerspace. Is innerspace a one time price? i couldn't follow their pricing definition.

i'm not sure about innerspace's pricing... but keep you eye on keyclone for the next release. i may have something for you.
