Ok, this guy is a royal pain in the ass.

Heavy melee mob with an aggro reducing knockback, a cleave and immune to CC. He kicked my ass numerous times at 59. I think I managed to get him to 20-30% once.

I am all 60 now so might try him again butI am tempted to go Outlands now as instance quests are kind of drying up and I will only be getting gear I will end up replacing very soon.

As I recall, at 60 DM is the hardest 5-man available, meant for people in decent gear for the level.

I haven't done DM North but DM East is cake, West was pretty easy if you pull the mana guardians properly and keep the Abberations away from the group. Some of the undead pulls with 2x AoE mobs or 2x ranged casters can be tricky. I 1-shotted the end boss in DM West both times, the big doggy.

DM North I haven't attempted yet as I know it is difficult but I wouldn't classify it as more difficult than Strat or Scholo. At 60 in crap gear you need to CC and pay attention.

Prince Tortheldrin is a completely different animal though. My problem is the double knockback and his high damage output. He takes my clothies apart in seconds. If my Pally gets a double knockback I have no aggro. Best strategy I can think of is to train up a hunter pet for tanking and use it as an offtank. If the pally and the hunter pet can ping-pong aggro I am sure I can kill the Prince even if he kills a few of me. My current hunter pet is a cat trained for dps with no armor or stamina training and no taunt.

I cleared all of DM at 60 with 5 cloth. It is possible.

I remember not having many problems with prince (before) BC but at that time I had a warrior for tank and their improved taunt only has 8 sec cooldown so this may not mean much. That being said with 1xwarrior, 2xmage, 2xpriest group I got my ass ripped so bad by the not-so-good doctor in scholo that for my new group I made having a viable offtank (with taunt) a 100% requirement. It has proven to be a wise decision.

I've decided to train a boar pet to be my offtank. Will see how it works out.
