Here is my issue.

I currently have 4 shamans at level 27, My IRL friends on that server are saying there rolling alliance on a different server and they want me to come and 3 box a class becuase they will roll a protection pally and a holy pally and they want me to be the dps. We would mainly instance grind enless one of us is off line. The only problem that i see is do i start over with them and scratch my 4 shaman idea? I really wanted 4 shamans because of the 5vs5 ownage iv seen from ellay, And if i re roll with them (i haven't bought the expac for my 3 other accounts yet, i really wanted to wait.) i wont be able to get shamans.
*edit* Also I want some classes that can drop someone very fast for world pvp/bg's but also has the survivability.

So if i do re roll with them what should i be? 3x Hunters? 3x Mages? 3x Priest? 3x Warlocks? Perhaps a 1x Warlock and 2x Mage?

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks :)

bring some buffs to your group, roll a mage, shaman and druid :)
I would do this same idea but when i was getting into multiboxing nobody had the same interest I did. You should roll with a buddy because it will break the boredom of levelling but in the end if your main goal is to arena well then u might want suggest to your buddy to only play one char

So for sure they are 1x Prot pally and 1x Holy pally. This eliminates having to heal and tank so i just need dps. Having 3 different characters? ehh i don't know about that. Id rather just have 1x and 2x or just 3x a class.

If its just DPS go for mages, unless like me you can't bear them :D

'Locks and Hunters perform well, personally I find Hunters to be more involving, a lot of what my 'Locks do is dot -> dot -> dot... next target. And at 12 I can just about 'solo'* a level 19. *(thats really a pair but I'm playing on my own so yes solo :D).

Hunters on the other hand certainly at low levels need a more involved play style and, IMO anyway, are a bit more fun. Plus if you pick the right pets and abilities (thinking Cats/Ravagers) you can get quite a big boost to DPS, or going with Pig/Bear/Turtle you get a reasonable off tank for non-heroic anyway. Plus of course the CC from traps which can be very handy.

I would think from a multi-boxing point of view the only classes that wouldn't be that effective would be Warriors and Rogues, because melee which is 90% about position is a bitch when two of three are just following.

What about PvP? I don't want a class that dies super fast, i need something that can stand up on his own for a while, ill have heals but not very efficient or big ones.

You can still play 4 Characters, just rotate them around during instances, there is no way possible that you guys will all be the same level eventually anyways. Re-rolling to a new server is also hit or miss on if it ever works out. So if you decide to re-roll (with RL friends is a great idea) stick with playing 4 and you'll be fine. Just bring 3 when they need 3 :)

Druids!!!

Thinking like this...

For instances especially if you end up doing heroics, you can have an extra healer so that the 2nd pally can tank or a tank so the 2nd pally doesn't need to tank ;). Boomkins don't have BOOM in their name for nothing so the damage is there, you'd also have 3x combat resses, which would be handy I'd imagine. Travel costs are cheap... (free flying mount?).

No idea about PvP on a druid though only played one on PTR and I sucked :D

Well i have one account that is upgraded to BC. I don't know if i want to upgrade my other accounts to BC yet. So maybe 1 shaman and 3x druids?

Im just going to upgrade my accounts for the free 10 day trial i think and get 4 shamans again :(

boomkins are crap... really... was playing feral and at level 53 or so specced to boomkin for fun. Ofc I had decent gear for that and still it was taking twice longer or even more to kill a single mob and like drinking every 3 mobs or so

You had decent Moonkin gear at level 53? O rly? In my experience you don't get decent moonkin gear until Outland at least.

Moonkins can get rediculous DPS & DPM if you know how to play them and have some decent gear.
The diffrence between Moonkin at 53 and Moonkin at 70 is immense.

BTW 15x Force of Nature treants? If you're a spellcaster good luck getting a spell off with them beating down on you ;-)

im using a moonkin in my setup more for the aura. 4 shamans getting +5crit, thats fucken crazy!
I will be speccing it 40/0/21 for NS over treants. Im a bit of a fan when it comes to NS. All my shamans will have it except 1

sure there's huge difference but leveling in boomkin really sucks

I would go with mages or locks (I personally prefer locks but we're all different). Having said that, mixing it up with 2 locks and 1 mage (or the other way around) will give a lot of extra advantages so you get the best of both worlds.
