I was curious if it had to be targeted like blizzard etc. or if its just automatically down at the caster location. Here is your answer. I am sure the animation is just a place holder.

looks like it's gonna be the right choice to replace my shaman healer

So wait, why is this making you replace your shaman healer?

Easier to not have to deal with ground targeted spells.

Yea, but I wouldn't give up on a class because they ADDED a spell. It's not like they are replacing all the other healing spells with it. It seems like it could be useful in some situations and I'm happy they are adding new things.

Ya but if you are as hardcore as Max is, you want to be able to use ALL your healing tools at your disposal on your appointed healer. Plus level 85 content will be balanced around a healer and ALL their spells.

I made that choice before i saw this spell. I will run a prot pally, boomkin, lock, shaman & priest team as my 'main comp'. Where boomkin, priest & shaman can have a healing offspec. It's a comp that gives me way more abilities & is more versatile than my shammy team. Not to mention that any loot that drops is gonna be usefull one way or another. My shaman team will be for pvp and i'll keep 1 'main' shaman to raid with.

Seeing this spell active just 'confirmed' my choice, as i 'll probably never use it with the way i box. That doesn't mean it's a useless or stupid spell.

I can see that. I guess I only got the result and not the full context of the descision. Just a lot of "sky is falling" right before expansions, so I likely assumed that when I shouldn't have.

I could've explained it better as well rather then make an unclear statement

Pff, me hardcore? Heh, I never cast greater heal on my disc priest and didn't even spec into penance for the boxing disc spec xD
Don't use the Hymn either, but at least have that one clickable somewhere on the bar.

But you are right on the balancing point.
And from what I've seen of the new instances so far, they will be hard, or at least challenging to box.
I look very much forward to trying. :)

GTAE spells are easy with ISBoxer and mouse broadcasting!

I'll take it. I can manage bombs, hurricanes, DnD, Volley, Blizzard, Trees, traps.... I'm sure this'll be no biggie to work in.

More aoe healing? Yes please! The cast time as of right now looks like a major pain, perhaps as a pre-pull tool in 5 mans.(If it doesn't aggro up a storm)

Can also be handy for when your shaman healer isn't doing much, between this and Earth Sheild you can free up your healer to do things like interrupts, more time spent cleansing, etc.

I'm pretty excited for the new spell(s)

Well for whats its worth I "suggested" having healing rain casted from the shamans location instead of a targeted aoe.

This and his other videos seem to be from a Korean Private server, and not from the beta of the xpac, so please don't expect this to be anything close to reality.

I am not sure I like the animation choices. If I see a green or purple pool of anything I run out of it!

As was said several times, the graphic is a placeholder.

And what would be better than being around the shaman's location is if it centered on the shaman's target.
But I guess both of these become too close to the druids' aoe healing spells.

Yea. For me the fact that it is targeted is the best part. Though I wonder which would be better, everyone in the target getting a hot, or location based healing, sort of like a reverse DnD where you could run in and out of it. Either way, it is something new.

What would be cooler is if the effect also did something negative to the enemy.

It could simple damage them or it could snare them I am not sure.

Or perhaps under the zone of the rain nobody could steatlh, I dunno.

Is it just me or does the caster in that video look like a Worgen? I thought worgen couldn't be shaman.

throwing this out there, but someone boxing with a shaman and death knight tossing both this and dnd down at the same spot, wouldn't it look like a shit storm coming? red+green=brown o.O?

Again, that is just a placeholder graphic.
