Currently i'm running around in AV & WG with my prot pally, 3 ele shammies and a resto shaman. They have around 600 (prot) and 8-900 resilience (shammies), 232 pvp gear + a few voa pieces and some honor. All honor that i farm goes to raw gems, since i dont see a big need to gear up any further. I do pretty well in AV/WG as i often manage to come through without a single death and a bunch of kills, even vs larger groups. Now i agree that has mainly to do with stupid allies than with my skills. They usually target my prot pally and well, .. he is a pally with 9 lives.

Anyways, soon I have a 5th shaman up, as well as a disc priest. My first idea was to run with 4 ele + resto, but usually 3 dps seems to be enough. So i was thinking to do something different and run with disc priest, resto shaman and 3x elemental.

So i was curious if anyone has experience with running 3 dps + 2 heals rather than the obvious 1 heal / 4 dps. I'm also thinking that this combination might be more forgiving for me to start with arena .

Any tips/experiences/ideas you want to share?

You wont kill anyone in arena with 2 healers, though. maybe in the sub-1500 bracket. You really need a LOT of firepower to kill people in arena these days, because even retarded kids have 1300 resilience on their toon they cant play.

good to know, however i don't see myself playing lots of arena, so i really question if i can get to 1500 anyways. it's more of a BG/WG thing

To 1500 you can but probably not this season, everyone is in relent/wrathful gear.
You would be better off running 5 ele shamans and burst 1/2 guys quickly down. That can get you to 1500.

Ahh, for BGs you are better off going with full DPS since your opponents are usually much less coordinated, and quick kills are easy, and 5x chain healing is amazingly powerful right now.

If you want a healer, go with a druid healer and 4 DPS shaman, or a priest healer. only problem with the priest, is that when you ghost wolf away somewhere, your priest will be stuck lol.

I currently run 4 ele shamans in Bg's / Arena, usually i just queue the 4 shamans and manage heals just fine, however i have trialed both resto druid and holy pally as pocket healers as a five box,
and what Mokoi says here is true.

The amount of times i lost the holy pally while chasing somone in ghost wolf form started to get beyond a joke, while the resto druid had no problems keeping up with the shamans in travel form.

If you say you have a 5th shaman coming up, i suggest you take him resto and leave the more geared shamans to dps. one healer should be enough!
If stuff really gets out of hand, 4 ele shamans should be able to heal through almost anything... unless your in arena.. where ele shamans have the unique ability to die with 4 other people shamming heals on them.

If you run a hunter + 2 ele and then 2 healers I could see this working... I've recently benched one of my shamans for a hunter in my pve setup, but haven't replaced him in my 5s setup yet (needs more gear). Hunters dish out a lot of dps and offer a ranged mortal strike. It may be something you want to look into if you really want to run 2 healers.

If BGing is all you really care about just queue 4 ele it works great or 5 ele. I was running 4 ele in BGs, but now im doing 4 ele + hunter till he gets gear.

hmm I've never played warlock but i've been thinking that 3x affliliction and 2x druid (is+mf for more dots) healers would be pretty fun in bg's, dot dot hot hot ruuuuuuun !

It can definitely be fun. downside of dots is that it takes a while to kill someone, which gives your oponants some time to kill. I'd spec the druids into wild growth though. You should have plenty of dots to dash out with 3 locks. ;D

I think it can work pretty well.

This sounds pretty good, very good mobility. But maybe replace a druid with a resto shaman for tremor totem? Hot a lot with the druid and stop for long casting heals only when needed.

If I had the time, rest shaman with 4 locks or rest Druid and shaman with 3 locks would be a super fun arena test. Honestly I don't think theyncould get very far, but my god that sounds like the ultimate mobility in a box arena team
