Hello all,
I am going to start boxing again with a fresh duo. I will be leveling up using RAF and running some quests but mostly instances... well that is the plan at least. I have 5 boxed in the past but I want to keep the expenses low and be able to interact with others and make friends.

I want a duo that has the ability to be flexible later on in the game, but start off as a tank and healer. I think this should greatly reduce my wait time for instances.

I want to take the new expansion into account because my goal is to be able to remain viable later on as the base of a group.

Group makeup... Tank/Healer...

Druid/Druid - I like the versatility of the druid to be able to do pretty much anything roll wise. Druid tanks are not as gear dependent to my understanding as the other tanks are, and the heals are pretty powerful.

Paladin/Priest - Paladins are the cornerstone of multiboxers. Easy to macro and very survivable. They to can play many rolls as the game changes. Priests are great healers and are pretty good dps when they are not needed as a healer. They have 2 good healing specs for different group needs.

Warrior/Priest - This is a group that will last through the ages as the cornerstone of every group. Great tank and healer combo. Because I am just running a duo I think it should be pretty easy to manage all the aspects of the warrior as a tank.

These are just ideas, I am open to other suggestions

Race... I will not be playing on a pvp server so that is not an issue that needs addressing. I have never been able to get into the Horde side mindset very well. On the servers I have played on I always hear people clown on the alliance for being kids and idiots... can not argue there. But then i try the horde and they seem to be so mean and condescending. This is as a whole of course and there are many exceptions on each side.

So as far as racials go... any suggestions? I am not apposed to playing on either side.

Server.. I live in Seattle, so I would like to find a west coast server that is mutlibox friendly.

Thank you in advance for any help and insight you can give.

Teal

Like stated over and over here, Take a setup you like.

Paladin is the easiest to tank with. Healer doesn't matter.

If you want versatility go protadin / resto druid.

Ner'zhul is a west coast server. I am there, but this is PvP server. You are welcome to come. Hit me up. Guild is iBox, alliance.

Race: Take human, the silly 10% rep bonus is a blessing!
Boxing friendliness in Ner'zhul: it is a mixed, i am hated and cheered at the same time. Go figure!
I just started six months ago. got my first team to 80 and working to get gears, although slowly.
And welcome~

I see allot of folks using bears on videos and I read warriors are to hard based on everything that is going on... so didn't know if anything had changed since i left the game a while back.

Why does the healer not matter anymore?

Thanks for the invite. I wish my wife would entertain pvp but she hates it and would like to play the secondary account once in a while but does not want to start over and level anything new up again.

I dual boxed 2 sets of druid to 80 to complete my team and double druids are a blast. You also can't really get more diverse than what they offer with the ability to fill any role.

I have gotten that response a good bit so thank you for the input. I think I will go with a pair of druids once I get back up and running.

Druid seem to have the least to worry about as far as gear selection goes also. Should be a lot easier to work them up.

A healer is only usefull when you're doing something that requires 5 people to kill it. Else a hybrid can throw some heals.

If you only care about doing dungeons/raids, then you could definitely roll a healer. But for leveling i highly suggest to spec to healer dps, since that'll make for much faster leveling.

Yeah if you go 2 druids spec both for balance/boomkins. The damage is so high you just tear through non elites of level. For elites just bind a few healing keys. I just threw my heals on my main bar not even macrod at the time and had no problems. Of course fine tuning it with macros would make it that much better.

go with druid/druid. Feral is the easiest. Movable Swipe aoe tanking. Consecration just leaves a mess on the same spot. Go Balance for dps/heal. As long as you have the a large enough mana pool and spell power you don't need to spec in heals. Outside of raids that is.
