Who: <Legion of Boom> / <Death is Temporary> US PvP - Bloodlust - Los Angeles Datacenter
What: We're looking to fill an immediate healer position, prefer Holy Paladin / Restoration Shaman
When: Wednesday and Thursday Nights, 7:15 invites - 10/10:30pm CST
Where: Icecrown Citadel (10)
Why: We're a 10 man focused CST group on a high population PST server.
Progression: Our current ICC10 progression is 12/12 Normal, 4/12 Heroic (LootShip, Rotface, Festergut, BQL)

History: Above all things, we're a raid team, we're friends, we're a family. We're a very tight knit group. On our old server we were known as <Death is Temporary> and the name kinda stuck with us on our new server, but we're apart of a larger non raiding guild, so we decided to keep the DiT name for our raid group. We've always been open minded about non-guildies and for a long time on our old server, we ran with 3-4 non guildies regularly. We don't subscribe to the notion that you have to be in the same guild to be a raid team.

What is Death is Temporary?
Death is Temporary (DiT) is a casually hardcore formal raiding group. We don't box, we run 10 solo toons with the goal of 10 man progression and hard modes. We came from the Madoran server where we had great success in Ulduar Hard Modes and clearing ToC10 and Ony10 weekly. Our goal is to progress through ICC10 while tackling ToGC10 and ICC10 Hard Modes as they become available. Our focus is on having fun, while seriously progressing. We take our runs very seriously and we expect the very best from our team members. We're not a hardcore 7 day a week team, we're very casual and we don't have many things we enforce. Basically, as long as your pulling your weight and the group downs bosses, everything is golden. We hand out loot like candy, we've never had loot drama. On Madoran we used loot council, and we may at some point get back to that, but until our roster settles down, we're using MS>OS /roll. When it comes down to it, the group would rather down bosses than argue over loot, since more bosses = more loot. Our goal is to progress and see content, we don't gear up alts unless we have a specific need.

Raid Lockouts:
DiT actively raids ICC10. If you have plans on running with us please do NOT get saved to a pug run for any of these instances until after 8:00pm PST on Thursdays, after that (end of our raid week) you are free to pug anything you may have missed). DiT Raid IDs are NOT for sale, we do NOT share our raid IDs. Please do NOT pug outside of the raid team. The only time pugs will be brought into our Raid IDs is if we are unable to fill a spot from the guild. If we do not clear and instance please do not take it upon yourself to pug to clear the instance without approval since we may extend a Raid ID's from week to week. We often run the weekly raid as a team and often run VoA, so you are expected to be able to run these if we decide to (or have an alt availiable to fill in your role).

What time frame and what sort of gear are you looking for? While I'd love to get the second 10 man going, I really just want to raid, and the more I think about it the more I keep coming back to the fact that I've enjoyed healing the most when I raid. I will start badge farming on my resto today if that's what it takes. I miss you guys!

Time frame is immediate need. We don't typically choose someone based on their gear, it is easy enough to get them some ICC gear considering all of us have what we need in normal modes (except Zod and his damn neck.) But coming in with >5.2k gearscore only helps the speed on bringing someone new in and not hold us back to terribly (we have no plan or desire to bring in a new 80.) Knowledge of the fight mechanics is a definite to also help this transition along as well.

Well, the shammy is currently 4738 GS. I need to touch up some enchants and gems still, but that's just a matter of doing some dailies. I've been farming badges all day and will keep farming over the next couple days to replace what I can, but I'm getting close to that point where I need drops or massive amounts of frost badges, esp for things like weapons and offhand.

If I can fill the need, I'd love to, if not I understand.

There are a couple things in the works, but even if the stars align and everything comes together, we'll still (ab)use the shit out of a geared healer. So we'll get you in where we can once you get a bit more gear. Or we'll pull you in for nights where we're not going to be doing hard modes / don't have the crew for hard modes. Just keep gearing.

For anyone who wants to fill in for DiT, take what Souca's doing as an example. This is the kind of thing that makes us not care about gearscore. The other thing you can't see is, if we brought Souca (on any toon) into a run, you can pretty much guarantee he's not going to fuck up because he doesn't know the fight. He's going to ask questions about how we do things to make sure he's on the same page. He's researched the fights, the only explanation is anything out of the ordinary we do. Gear is only a small part of being able to hop into a DiT run and survive in hard modes. Kicksome is another prime example of where skill > gear, but knowledge and fight awareness carries you even further.

Dude, you're making me blush and shit.

Now when the fuck do servers come back up, still need another piece of T9. And is your bear still a JC? Gonna have to abuse you for some cuts.

Yep, bear is a JC should have the cuts you need. I even have that obscure green epic cut that's haste/mp5 or whatever cause I had bought it for my shaman at some point.

Woot! Looks like my chars will shortly have a lot less honor.
