After running my setup for a couple of years I thought it was time to instigate some upgrades. below is a picture of my original setup

http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/359/screenswi8.jpg

initially I had 2x 22" screens for my additional toons, but after triple boxing for a while I got used to the full screen view on the slaves, so I decided to add another 2x 22" screens to the mix.
I also added an additional machine, so my main toon runs on 1 pc and i run 2 characters each on both of the other machines.

OH MY! You could use that to fly to the moon! Really though, It must be nice to have that kind of screen space. I'm considering getting a second monitor down the line. Quick Question Would that put more strain on my graphic card or system, or would it do the opposite and possibly improve my performance?

I only had positive results when going from one to two monitors, but I guess it may depend on your comp specs.

most graphics cards that i have used for wow (GTX 260, 275 & HD5850) have no problems running multiple screens at full fps.

I miss these old setups with 5-6 screens, looking like defcon command centers, wish i had the cash and hardware to run that. Im stuck playing 5 on one screen lol

Yeah, running 4 wows on a 30" screen is just torture... :P

That looks really good. I think having more monitors is great for other applications too. Being able to open full sized windows while working on other projects is a real productivity booster.

AND it does look like something you'd see on the bridge of a star destroyer, which is way cool.
