How to enter Arterac valley as a multiboxer??

This is prob the most noob question ever but.. please help me /smile.


Ive tried the following:

Got all in a party. Tried to press "join as party" with the leader = queing for hours, nothing.
Got all in a party. Tried to press "join battle" with each individually = queing for hours, nothing.

No toon is in a party. Tried to "join battle" individually, both pre "arterac valley" is soon to start and just after it has started = nothing...


Are the quetimes for 40man arterac valley supposed to be this bad?


How can i que most effectively while remain certain that all my toon will enter the very same battleground??
(using 5 characters lvl 75)

'Join as party' will queue up your party (not raid, so max 5 toons) for the same AV. Since the random battleground feature introduction, queuing for AV is a pain. On my BG (reckoning horde EU) i have to wait between 50-70 minutes (at lvl 80). I've heard from other people that 60-69 and 70-79 is nearly dead.

On the other hand i can now queue up for AV whenever i want. Even at 3am i'll end up in a game since most people are using the random BG tool, they will eventually end up in AV. Whereas before the random dungeon feature, once after midnight there almost no AV's going on (except weekend and holliday).

This weekend is holliday AV on my BG, and queues are like 20 minutes now (specific queue for AV, with 5 man party).

(have one 5man party choose "join as party" and the last two in a party on their own also choosing join as party?).

Is there a garantee that all toons will be ported to the same battleground?
(guess this only applies to arterac valley but who knows).

Did you turn off experience gains for your team? only reason I ask is because I did this at 79 and didnt not know about the seperate que for non experience gainers and waited for hours. If you did not turn off exp gains and are having these long hours of que times I am sorry. I normally wait about 15-20 mins max in Stormstrike battlegroup.

Hm not sure where you can check/uncheck the option to choose between xp/nonxp. Never noticed that option. Havent tried that addon above yet. Will do soonish.

Would be cool if i could pvp a lot for fun. Nice change from the questing and grinding (someone told me that one round of Alterac valley = approx 11% xp of the current lvl you are in).

do you get a "waiting time"?.. if not than none is queuing in your pool

My pally team was apparently bugged when I was leveling 70 - 80, I would join the que for AV and it would NEVER pop, I would quest for 1+ hours at a time while I waited and I never did a single AV lvls 71 - 80. but my shamen and druid teams never had an issue, I would que them and it would pop w/ in a few minutes. @ lvl 80 my pally team would only be in the que for 1 - 2 minutes, no issues.

As far as i know the queue's for both Random and specifc BG's are still seperate?

Have you noticed people getting the 800 bonus honor from random BG in your specific AV BG?

Random & specific queuing are mixed on my BG. While i'm usually ahead in kills/tower caps/... most others get way more honor than me since they queued up for a random while i just queued for AV.

That being said, it might be so that this is not true for other BG's. Reckoning EU (my BG) has already 2 different queues since there are german reals inhere as well. Meaning that we will never side with german players, while we can face them.

Solution is clear... do the Random BG :) That's what I do get much shorter queues and seem to win most BG's.

I mostly join via "join as group" and it takes about max 5minutes to get into AV (Realmpool EU-Blutdurst)
