Hi all, new to posting here. I'm fairly experienced with dual boxing characters, having leveled up several combos together. I started with prot warrior + holy priest right when RAF first came out, leveled up shadow priest + dk to 80 when Wrath was released, did shaman + shadow priest, and a little bit of rogue + warlock.

However, druid + paladin are two classes pretty new to me. I've been wracking mr brain trying to search for some advice and suggestions, and can't find anything really good and helpful.

I'm looking for some opinions as to what specs I should have each character, so I know what heirloom items to buy. Right now, both are level 30, paladin is ret and druid is feral. I tried ret + kitty, and bear + ret so far without respeccing. Bear + ret seems to work out better for me, but I'd like some opinions to help me decide.

My level 80 goals are right now to have both classes spec tank/heal. Thanks!

I'd stick to feral / ret. boomkin / ret requires manabreaks, which is annoying.

Imo you don't need a seperate spec for kitty or bear. At 80 i even dps, tank and pvp with 1 feral spec. I think you can let the ret tank pretty well and kill stuff with the druid shredding. Maybe, if you can do a lot of bigger pulls, you can tank with the bear, swipe + do consecration on the ret. I guess that's a good setup aswell.

I'd buy the most generic heirloom gear available - something that can be worn by all classes you may play, which means cloth. I don't personally care about the stats on the item, just the 10% exp boost. If you're multiboxing then you don't really need to worry about min/maxing while you level, just go blow sh*t up.

as suggested above, i'd go Bear + Ret, and lead with the Bear.
the two most versatile classes in the game, you could pretty much go with any spec. But bear/ret will probably offer you the fastest/easiest combo.
Some might argue to go as cat, but personaly i can't be ask to stealth or go behind mobs when mb'ing, so a full-face bear charge and ret whirling is how i'd do it.

You could do prot plus a tree for aoe face-rolling.

My team is a Paladin tank-3 Boomkins- and a Resto Druid. So I've fooled around with several combinations of the classes.

For quick leveling if it were me I'd probably go ret paladin+boomkin. The dps and synergy seem better to me personally. Just lead with the pally and have him be the tank while the druid rains down hell.

if you are questing or doing 5s ret + feral is a good choice, but i think it would also be fun to go ret + resto, pull 30 mobs and kill them while you are hotted (perhaps this also works for a single ret :D )

Imo you can't focus to much on aoe since this has quite some downsides.

1. main point. You need to gather up the mobs you want to aoe, which isn't always a good option.
2. Aoe costs a lot of mana with the boomkin.

I would never spec the second char doomkin, since i can't imagine him not going oom like hell. (yes, i know innervate exists. But a couple of hurricanes drains a lot.)

For leveling, go feral. The other specs don't work well until you get to Outlands. Ret is fine until 80. Once you get swipe, you will roll through mobs with no downtime. The Ret aura and all will heal both toons and not burn mana. Dropping a regrowth before a pull will help also

Indeed. Between Improved Leader of the Pack and the paly passive healing/judgements, I bet a duo of ret/bear will never have to stop. ever.
