So I havent had to level in the old world in a long time (cause i dont make that many characters) but my brother started playing again so Im making a team over on his server. i moved an 80 there so I could boost. I am hoping somebody can tell me how they go about boosting non-RAF. Im going
1-10 starter zone solo
10-20 Shadow Fang Keep
20-35 SM cathedral
After that i dont really remember where to go optimally. I would guess ZF but im hoping not cause I hate ZF.
If anybody would share what they do for 35-58 so I can get to outlands (at which point things become much easier) that would be awesome, thanks.
P..S. Searched for boosting guides but didnt find much laid out, sorry if this is a repeat.

Can't answer for horde, but my ally toons hit 60 in a bit less than 10 hours played:
1-10 quest
10-16 Deadmines
16-22 Stockades
22-40 SM
40-45 BRD (worst part of all the boosting)
45-60 Scholo
Stay in SM as long as you can as the exp per hour is the best for the entire 1-60 journey.

So I can do SM til 40, cool.
I believe I will try BRD as even if its less effective id rather run around there than ZF.
Thanks Owl

You could stay in SM up until 44 I think, but the exp starts getting really slow. Maybe 20% a level at 43 and you can only do the Cath wing.
I used to just do the Cath wing as it's the quickest. However, if you want to avoid hitting the instance per hour cap, then clear all three wings. In your low 20s a full clear of SM will get you about 2.5 levels.
A couple more things I figured out... your slaves can stay at the entrance of Library. You can clear the whole instance and not move them one and they'll still get exp.
For the armory, I keep my slaves where they are, kill as I go (feral tank) up until the second pair of stairs (the last stairs before Herod). If you go up those stairs, you will be out of exp range for your slaves. Before those stairs, your slaves are within range. Once I clear everything up to the stairs, I then stealth to Herod and drag everything back to before the stairs.
For Cath I just kill everything outside the actual Cath, and then pull the entire Cath to right outside the Cath.
That system allows your slaves to never move in SM and the only time you're not killing as you go (less durability wear on your gear) is for the short distance from Herods room to the stair case.

1-10 quest
10-25 SFK
25-35 SM (I hate sm)
35-45 Sunken Temple
45-55 Scholomance
55+ outlands
Nice thing is all the instances are on the same side of the map so its easy to get teams around. And other than SFK, you only spend 10 levels not some 20+ level grind on the same stuff.

1-8 quest
8-10 ragefire
10-20 sfk
20-40 sm
40-45 brd
45-55 strat/scholo
55-60 ramparts

I like to keep mine close, so I do:
1-8 quest
8-10 ragefire (or quest to 10 and skip rfc)
10-20 shadowfang keep
20-45 sm
45-55 scholo
55-58/60 ramps, or stay in scholo till 58
Edit: Big point in these as well is that I pull in ways that I can leave alts at entrance in all of them.

1-10 quest
10-20 shadowfang keep
20-40 sm
40-45 zf (annoying but still fastest 40-45)
45-55 scholo
55-62 ramps

I do SM to 45 because, the other instances are too annoying and require travel time. I save time and my sanity by just finishing up 45 there.
Then, my stratholme undead single pull. Done to 58.

or waste time moving instances every 5 levels
I don't get why people do that, unless you have a crew of warlocks at every instance, it's just a waste of time.
If you wanna keep boosting after 58.. a paladin can single pull Underbog up to the hydra boss thingy. It's by far the hardest pull I've ever done, but once you get it down it's very efficient. You need seal of light, judgement of light, bubble, lay on hands most pulls (w/ 15 min cd it's not an issue using it almost every run). If you get stunned and drop to 0, come back to life at 30% you can usually reposition and get back up with seal of light.
1 - 10 Questing - Durator and Brill Kill quests only
10 - 20 SFK mobs until Big Bad wolf
20 - 45 SM Cath: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQaW1llfNfo
45 - 60 Strat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIDOjG-CJ9Y
60 - 65 Underbogs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcMIEizxgbM
65 - 70 UK mobs until first boss room. Reset
For 70+ i'm still looking for a faster way. So far:
70+ Boosting: VH = 300+ XP/hr
Epic flying questing (Using RAF Rocket) = 200-250 XP/hr
Hope somebody will post their current 70+ boosting
Used to be AV but I'm not sure if that is still the best route.

Here is how I've run 15 of mine to 80 and ungodly more to 60+
1-8 quest
8-10 Ragefire
10-20 Shadowfang
20-40 SM
40-45 BRD
45-55 LBRS (just up the chain from BRD and SWEET XP)
55-62 Ramparts (it is so ungodly fast to run this like 2 pulls or less)
62-65 anywhere in Coilfang (Steamvault slavepens etc)
65-68 Auchindoun (start with mana-tombs then move up)
68+ quest and instance in Northrend. Start PVP at every chance you can just for the XP, geting honor and to mix things up a bit.
I've done Scholo/strat to see what is is like, but if you are going to head down to BRD (I have the teleport digger thing to there) why not stay and go to LBRS. Scholo strat seems to have far too many extra wipes for me maybe because I just don't know it well enough. Also ZF can (and used to be before you got dismounted) good but it is so long with mobs spread too far out now and an EPIC run/flight to get to.

So is all the above 60+ done while rested? I am currently sitting at lvl 63 with my horde team and want to get to 65 or higher ASAP. I ran out of rested as I just dinged 63 :(
Also on the Ramps 2 pulls, how do you handle the guys that stun you? I have a 5k GS druid that I really need to do about 3 - 4 pulls in the ramps on, how are you doing just two?
Thanks for the inisght :-)

Virtually none of mine is done rested as I try to get up as quickly as possible. As for the stuns, I use a Paladin to run me through so it makes it much easier. Never tried with a druid. if you can get it down to 3 with a druid you are still doing it PLENTY fast. I would guess you are still easily hitting the lockout timer which means you have time to quest in between.
