Cross-Battlegroup bg's in Cataclysm

We're currently expecting both normal and rated battlegrounds to be cross-battlegroup (within a region) for the launch of Cataclysm. So, players queueing from anywhere in north america could play vs players on any north american battlegroup, etc.

Didn't see this posted anywhere else here, so I figured I'd post it so we all know.

Also, I can't imagine them *not* doing this for arenas too if they're doing it for rated BG's. That'd be pretty nice. No more "Yeah you got 2400 but on my BG that's not even top 100" posts.

Some time ago according to blizzard this was not possible so why now it is?

They need something to help with que times for the lvl 60 - lvl 79 range now.
There is no more trying to lvl in a BG.....as Ill be in que for 2 hrs before logging off every day.

They probably didn't have enough dedicated servers at the time, but with the success of cross server groups and bgs I'm sure they've invested more of their time and $$ in that area :)
