"But the majority of the ‘Kill X number of Y’ stuff we’ve gone and changed to feel more like the Northrend quest lines. So you’ll see actual storylines developing, you’ll get to use vehicles, you’ll see phasing tech, stuff like that."
Isn't that what boxers love?

if it makes a fun overall experience for the game and it happens to hinder boxers then Im all for it.
If it sucks for everybody involved then damnit....

Just so long as all those "kill [x] [y's]" haven't been replaced with "collect [x] [y's]"

The first time through I intend to read the quests and follow them and it will go slowly and I won't worry about it. Collect X? Sure! Stumble through phased areas? Well... okay...
The second time? Not so much.
The third time? People will die.

I tend to cheat. I look ahead on Wowhead for what the quest gives me. If it ends with just me running around for no real helpful result. I just stop and move on to other more helpful quests. I might do them on my solo chars, so I have to collect less stuff and see the lore, but not my boxing that makes me pick up lots of items. Other things, is BGs give exp, WG weekly will give exp, etc. so not much reason to do every single quest ever. I tend to say, "I need a new weapon, what is a quest that gives it to me." I look up and it says I need to do a quest chain X112Y. I will pretty much do anything in that chain, so I can have that item, even if it is a collection quest.
just painful when you come across a chain of collection quests. i sometimes like to follow the storyline behind the quests whether they be kill or collect so and so. might just run solo on those... most times i just give up. i gave up last night in grizzly after getting "The Bear God" chain completed and left the zone entirely. i don't mind collecting 100% drop quests or harvest quest but x% to drop quest (one after another even) items have been painful for my box'd teams.
here's to hoping they keep most collection quests group-wide (mob drops X for all in party) than having to commit genocide every time a team goes questing.

Or the dreaded kill 'a' things to collect 'b' things, combine 'b' things to get 'c' item. Then /use 'c' on a mob for each character.

Ugh collection quests... Hoping they're meaning the vehicle quests or where you control another character such as Arthas killing Illidian fight... That was a really good questline.
Another thing that sucks about collection quests the first few months of a new expansion is all the damn competition. People tagging your mobs right and left giving me nerdrage!

They just mean no quests that have no lore or story. There are PLENTY of kill quests still. But the quests will have meaning. Not just go kill 25 Spiked Pickleboars because they stink.

Well, we at least have several options to level with.
I generally prefer to quest.
But there are also instances and pvp.

I effing hate vehicles. I want to play an (MMO)RPG, not a crappy version of mario cart.

This is what I do as well. I will go through complete quest chains that involve collection quests if I like the lore as well (e.g. Wrathgate).
That being said, I did enjoy the way quest lines developed in WotLK, particularly when phasing was used to covey a feeling that your quests were actually having an impact on the world around you (e.g. Crusaders Pinnacle).
Cheers,

Vehicle sucks.
But at least with IS Boxer, the slaves follow the master for 90% of the quests, with just the normal FTL Follow Me.
And even if they don't follow, the 1, 2, 3, 4 etc auto assist the active toon, and press the same button number.
I'd rather play a Warlock, Druid or Shaman, then a Tank, Helicopter or Knight.
Another thing that sucks about collection quests the first few months of a new expansion is all the damn competition. People tagging your mobs right and left giving me nerdrage!
This is pretty unavoidable indeed... but as a boxer you have the full power of a n-man group. Move on to the next zone early and leave the masses behind :-)

You guys that don't like vehicles boggle my mind. The occulus, Toc, Malygos, etc are just ridiculously easy fights for boxers. Blizzard fixed the following problems some time ago, and five vehicles focused doing things exactly timed correctly is just so much better than five random bodies. It also turns all your guys into five shamans (same abilities, buttons, even hps and mana!) and makes it so much easier to play.
ALL VEHICLE QUESTS IN CATACLYSM PLEASE
(The phasing can go die though)

I don't want 5 shamans, otherwise I would have rolled and geared 5 shamans. I want to play the team I rolled with the spells they are supposed to have. Vehicle combat is an excuse for Blizz to ignore class balance or to just generally be exceedingly lazy in PvE.

Phasing is cool as you get to see the zones change, but its dumb as hell as well. How many times have you stood outside icc to summon people and no one can see anyone else because they are all in different phases.
Worst part is taking your established paladin tank to level up a new team only to have them phase apart.

Honestly it didn't even matter for me on my server. There were even queue's to get on my server the first couple of months. Seeing people I haven't seen since the last expansion, lol. There were also lots of guild leveling up together and it was get out of their way or else. Didn't matter if you had been waiting there for 10 minutes they were going to be first no matter what.
Now that everyone is back in Azeroth...Geez I can't even imagine how crowded things are going to get... At least in WOTLK you could zone hop a bit easier. But like I said in the beginning every zone on my server was crowded.
I like vehicle quests... Of course I don't want every quest to be a vehicle quest but they're some of the only quests I even remember from WOTLK. Riding the dragon and spearing other dragon riders from the Brunhilder(sp) questline, the quests where you controlled Arthas, etc... I found very enjoyable and no problem to box
That new raceway in Azshara looks very fun!
.
People are discounting the new races starting at lvl 1. While some plug away in getting to 85 asap, I'll be non-raf'ing my way with worgens. By the time I hit 80, the scene should have already died down quite a bit.

I vote that Blizzard adds "a Spiked Pickleboar" to the game. Such evocative imagery, I lol'd.
