Weekend Warriors - 10 Man ICC Group

All,

There always seems to be a lot of people that want to get into ICC so I want to put together a second 10 man raid group. I'm not looking to form a hard core raid group, but rather a group of people that want to down LK and are willing to put in the minimal amount of work to see that happen. If you want to get into a weekly 10 man ICC, then sign up and lets get this going.

Since I want this to remain fun and relaxed, I'm only going to ask people follow a few simple rules:

1. Have a good attitude. This is for fun, so don't be a dick and don't create drama. It's okay to get upset when something happens, but don't rage about it and move on so we can all have a good time.

2. Show up. We won't be running more than 1 or 2 days a week, so if you say you will be there, please be there.

3. Ask for help if you need it. We are all very good at being self sufficient, but if you need help with something, just ask. Don't leach off the group, but if you forgot a flask or just can't afford an enchant or gems from a new piece of gear, I'd rather help you out than have it cause us to not get a kill.

4. Have decent gear. I'm not asking for 5k GS and best in slot or anything crazy, but don't have a blue when you could spend a little time in randoms to replace it. I'd like for us to run some randoms in the first few weeks so that even fresh 80s could be geared enough, but that requires people who don't need the gear to come along for the runs too.

Tentative raid schedule is to run on Saturday afternoons and possibly Sunday, but only if we need the time and everyone wants to.

Really looking for people that can commit to whatever day we choose, since 9 people showing up and ready to raid sitting idle cause no one else happened to be online really sucks. If I'm misunderstanding, please chat me up in game, since I'd love to have you along.

That said, if we don't have enough people that can commit, we could start doing alts, but that gets hard since you need at least 3 alts per slot worst case, and that means people that show but can't go.

I'll go ahead and wish you luck. I can't commit to anything myself, because of a fluctuating weekend schedule, however if someone doesn't show up, and I am on.. I'll more than happily fill a spot.

The only problem is, those people that have "interest" in icc10.. never seem to want to follow through. Be it an inability to commit, or something else. I certainly hope you can get a second 10man off the ground, but as I've seen from the forums.. it's unlikely to happen unless you want half a group of pugs.

My schedule does not allow me to commit. That is why I don't belong to a hardcore pve guild. I have many characters that I can run so I don't care if we only down 2 bosses in an alt run

Schedule: Friday nights are pretty bad for me, Not sure about Saturday afternoons. Saturday nights are ok if it's after 9pm(ish) CST Sundays are pretty bad unless it's earlier in the morning.

I can bring DPS:

Svpernova - Feral DPS - 5454 GS
Svperhate - Unholy DPS - 5279 GS / Blood Tank 5252 GS

On the weekends, mornings kinda work out better for me because I can get whatever going and end before the wife starts looking for me. I know this may not fit in to the schedule, but let me know if you need me. I realize DPS is usually a dime a dozen and tanks and healers are usually what's needed. I've got a pally tank ~ 4895 GS but I think the DK is better geared. I'd ultimately prefer to get the druid in since I'm not able to run with the druid in DiT.

I'm trying to get my lock (Thujone) geared as soon as possible. It may take a few weeks though. I'm well on my way for a full t-9 set for this weekend. We'll see how lucky I get with drops from icc 5-mans.

if it gets close to happening I can bring my tree or hunter. Still gearing the DK 3500 wont cut it as a tank and barely for DPS as it's mostly tank gear.

I think we should be good for tanks unless someone really wants to tank. I have the druid and Kick has a 5.6-8k GS DK. Unless there is some reason we have to have a pally or warrior for the fights, I'm fine with using a druid and DK. If there is a reason for the other classes, I can always come on my shammy or lock depending on the need for heals or DPS.

Well, if you want to bear tank, I can always bring my resto shammy, but I thought Vecter was talking about his resto, so I wasn't sure. I have a friend who is supposed to be transferring his holy pally over and I was gonna throw him in a healer role, so I wasn't too worried about healers, but maybe I should be.

I think if we are still talking about this post AV weekend, then we might stand a chance.

My tree is at 4k GS and 1800 sp. Close and with some strong team members I can do ok. Svper gave me alot of tips during the last weekly so I am learning. Toon name is Faybearc Resto/Balance

Without talking to Vecter, I don't know if he'd bring the shaman as resto, he's elemental atm. If I was to tank right now I'd bring my DK because I've just sunk so much resources into DPS on the druid right now.

The 29th I'm committed to a run already if Ruby Sanctum opens. If it doesn't open I'm up for it. I can't tank it atm. My DK is currently horde and my druid is still gemmed / geared DPS.

Sure we may think BCJ's are douchebags.. but then again.. many people probably say the same thing about us hordeside. Faction Rivalry FTW?

The funny thing about BCJ is there are 2 kinds of people there. The level headed non-retarded people, who actually have a lot of respect for LoB and have been really nice about me coming over. And then you have the idiots like the guy I told off in guild chat when he was mouthing off about how unfair multiboxing was. We've all had that kind of conversation before, it ended with me saying "You're misinformed, just like a lot of people, it's ok, if you have any intelligent questions I'll be more than happy to answer them for you" and him logging off. So you can pretty much see how the conversation went :_)

I killed a couple LoB members yesterday in WG, it felt kinda dirty. I'll always be alliance, but the fact that people in BCJ loging and go 'LETS GO CAMP SOMETHING NAO' it makes for some pretty awesome world pvp. Yeah a lot of people see BCJ as douchebags, and I'm sure some of them are, but it's nothing that people don't already think about LoB, so /meh. I'm in it for the world PvP. if you guys run across me, feel free to gank me, personally I intend to avoid you if I see you outside of Wintergrasp. We sat in the SW mage tower for an hour Saturday night, and then moved and sat in the SW AH for another hour. It took 50-75 Alliance to rush in at the same time to wipe ~36 horde. That was the most fun I've had in PvP in a really long time.

Its all about having fun in this game. While the times we have had in LoB doing World PVP were awesome they are far and few between. I am sure the satisfaction of logging into game and have 30+ people just get up and go do something is quite high. I'd do it. But the thing about LoB is that as multiboxers most just play to play alone and having that expectation of doing guild events just isn't a high priority. Perhaps someday it can be but right now it isn't.

Now with all that said and Svper going to the dark side I expect attitudes to start changing and maybe, just maybe, 40+ of us will gather and meet BCJ in the middle of the battlefield! And of course half of us crashing because the game cant handle it...hehe :D

<LoB> is multiboxing guild. Not a PvP boxing guild. Not a raiding guild. It's just a boxing guild. We do some of those things, but at our core we are a guild of boxers and their close friends and we are very good at being that.

<BCJ> is a world PvP guild, no holds barred. You have to respect their place in things. And if you want world PvP, you'd be hard pressed to find a better solution on this server. If you want to see horde world events and quests for the slim window of time that you will be able to, then your options narrow even more.

Svper knows how I feel about this, I made sure to tell him because I didn't want it to get lost in all the other BS and it can be hard to know when people are joking with stuff like this.

I will feel bad for a couple seconds after I kill him if he ever ventures into Icecrown (one word, not two) and I see him. But I'm sure he will be smiling on his end of the screen, even more so if he manages to take one of mine out.

As much as getting killed on my lowbies by <BCJ> can make me rage, I will say this: I haven't seen them use exploits. And while I didn't get to see any of them render before dying at the Dark Portal the other day, I doubt they even knew that. And if they did and planned on it, more power too them. I'm sure a few of their members never saw the lock and shammies fall from the sky before they died either.

See, I have. That's where my (few) issues with them lay. I've gone out to respond to LoB being ganked in old world towns.. only to have the 4 or 5 BCJ's jump up on the roof where no one can get to them. Sure.. wall jumping may not be an exploit.. but exploiting the guard pathing and similar things is. Dave/Fenril were there that night.. and there is plenty of BCJ's on my Vanas because of it. Although, I won't blanket statement that they are all bad, or pussies.. because I've had a few world pvp nights where some (not the ones that roofcamped).. would actually fight like men. I'm all for the cheap air ganks when someone flies away.. but if you fight me straight up.. I'll fight you straight up.. and tip my hat if I lose.

It took me almost a year to break my habit of constantly moving my camera to see what was going on around me at all times while leveling, when I moved to a PvE server.

You haven't been griefed until you've been Goon griefed. Was on the wrong side of them in Eve. Makes me glad we can't understand cross faction speech. The Goons have taken the whole madcuzurbad to a whole new level.

And when I was on a PvE server, shadows of mounts flying over head would freak me out. At least on a PvP server I am justified in my paranoia.

other than Saturday night, I plan to be on most of the 3 day weekend. I do not think my Saturday night would be the same time as Souca's, but after 5 pm server is out.

Even if I can't be around tomorrow, I think people should still try and get something going. Half of getting a group going is usually just one person in guild ninja inviting people and then grabbing a couple PUG worst case. The first four bosses are very puggable and even HM lootship if there is someone with a title in group.

I will try to be around, parents are due in till late, so depending on when I finish getting the hooker bodies disposed of, I should be able to be online.
