I don't want to have my entire screen up for people to see with procaster. And it won't let me just broadcast the game because it doesn't recognize that a game is running...

Are you using the development build of InnerSpace?
If you want to use X-Fire, you will need to run the dev build of Inner Space as fenril mentioned. To do so, right click Inner Space and select Patcher, check "Download development (test) patches", then close and restart Inner Space. X-Fire's in-game functions will need to be disabled or you will see a terrible performance hit.
FRAPS will work for general recording as well, also using the dev build of Inner Space.
When I broadcast, I personally use Flash Media Encoder + VHScrCap. VHScrCap basically turns your desktop (or part of it) into a webcam that can be used with standard cam streaming software.
I don't know why procaster wouldn't recognize the game unless it goes by the name of the window (I haven't used it), but moosejaw mentioned running as Administrator. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, both ISBoxer and Inner Space (and therefore the games when IS launches them as well) are running as Administrator. Other applications that need to interact with the game may need to be run as Administrator as well -- right click and select Run as Administrator.

i have the beta build, and i cannot get either xfire or procaster to run with them. ALL programs (IS, ISBS, Xfire/Procaster) are running as admin.

Lax (or anyone else),
Do you still need to use the dev build of ISBoxer to broadcast/stream gameplay? I tried to use X-Fire last night, but was unable to figure things out (only messed around for about 30 minutes). It seems like you have to launch WoW from X-Fire for it to be a session that will stream. It is just easier/better (and hopefully free) to use Flash Media Encoder + VHScrCap?
Thanks for your help

Got steaming going :) there is a really good guide the "other" website that includes video turtorials. I'll be streaming lots this weekend (assuming once I test it more it's not killing my bandwidth):

(not steaming until this evening most likely and I'll make a new post when I do)
