Hey all, first time i've posted an " /i did it !! " thread, as some of you know i've been posting brainstorms in the strategy forum for glory of the hero, and tonite, i finished the last achievement (abuse the ooze) after only two attempts and got my glory of the hero!! OMG OMG OMFG YAAAAAAAAAY!!! this was a big accomplishment for me, as i've been working pretty hard to figure out how to do every one of them with my 5 pallys, this team is just damned incredible

you run 1 prot + 4 rets, or one of them as holy for heals? nice setup and rig btw, grats on the achi. i know that's a hard one.

lol yes it is tdog! actually, just had it there cause i ran out of snot rags** :) thanks for fixing my pics too mikekim! :) i appreciate it!

EDIT: Yes i run 1 prot 4 ret, all of them are sitting around 5200 ish gearscore with my tank a little bit higher around 5400 ish as i raid some with her to gear up the stuff i cant get in badge gear(shields, necks, tank weps), the rets have 264 crafted boots, 226 belts and badge necks, 245 chest and bracers, and 2 pc t 10 from badges, 2pc t9 from badges, mirror of truth and darkmoon card death as trinkets and quel dellars on all 4.. lol each of my rets is geared and gemmed/epic gem enchanted EXACTLY alike, it really is looking like they are clones now, i love it!

on a side note, that acheivement was probably the EASIEST one i could have done. The only hard part was actually controlling my four rets away from my tank while i had my tank attack the boss. I use a focus as lead system so i had to disable the focus change on my tank so i wouldnt auto assist the rets going after adds. I also had a lot of targetting issues that could have been fixed if i had disabled some keybinds. Because i use my "S" key as tab target(on all 5) i often found that using it, my tank would target adds sometimes, then when trying to send my alts to the adds via iwt the tank would interact with target too, so i had a couple too many "oh shit" moments, and ran out of mana a couple times before i finally figured out i should just melee the adds to kill them instead of using skills and saving mana for the oozes/healing group/tank. The very end of the achievement was a big "OH SHIT" moment as i was trying to get the boss down quick and in retrospect if i had had to do it again i would have just waited it out and relaxed a little bit. Seeing as my tank was the one who did all the dmg to the boss to kill it, the rets only did a few thousand dmg via taunting and exorcism dmg. I had at the end when i knew i had enough oozes killed ran into the boss to try and burst him down, but in doing so ran right into a lightning ring, ate two slime aoe bolts and thats why in the screenie you see two rets dead, lol i did my best to run them away at the end and managed to kill the boss taunting back and forth right at the end before he killed the tank. All in all was an exciting accomplishment and i'm glad i got HoS as my daily random last night, lol cuz it made me actually DO this :)

Actually no its a self built rig with an antec 902 case :) and a bunch of other components :). I love my computer hehe wish it would stop randomly locking up in heavy graphic intensive areas tho. Even single boxing my dk in raids sometimes my wow just freezes and stalls to as if I just took a screen shot and that's how it stays.


On a side note I finally finished farming up the 25 k and bought epic flying for my pallys who now can use the glory of the hero drakes Woot!

Excellent cable management there. Glad to see someone else that puts time into their hardware instead of throwing it all in and looking like ****.

Hehe Ty! The antec 902 case makes cable management a snap, its got a rear compartment that's got a few through holes to route all the cables behind the case interior and ties to manage it all. I build machines for a living and routing wires and hydraulic hoses and makin them look good is part of my job so it all translated in my case hehe. Plus with this case there's just so much you can do to maximize air flow and keep things cool the entire center of the case is a big wind tunnel and keeps everything super cool :)
