Solo PvP = mouse turning

Multiboxing PvP = ?

I'm so used to mouse turning from my solo PvP days that it's a hard habit to break. However, if I'm doing click healing then I'm finding it tought to drive my guys as they run away and still be able to click on my toons. So maybe the solution is to go back to keyboard turning (using A or D or whatever keybind you have set up).

What say you?

I think most MB pvpers use a combination of both. Mouse most of the time and then keyboard turning when some rogue is playing the epilectic seizure dance.

I never use anything except A,W,D with the mouse to turn. Use A+D or W with the mouse to run sideways.

The only time the keyboard turning makes sense is when a mage snares you and runs behind you.

bind your healing to buttons, and don't click to heal lol

I thought using click to heal was the top system for multiboxers? So many options with such a basic system (left click, right click, etc) which allows for healing nearly as good as a solo player could do. I could be wrong :)

Are all your movement keys bound the same across the board Owl? Was asking since you said they run in all directions. I know for myself personally my slaves movement keys are bound to different keys. I just use follow to keep my slaves facing where I want them- and formations/their set of movement keys to coordinate them.

I never use mouse repeater except for my healing regions 'mouse repeater regions'. Not sure how anyone would manage to navigate with mouse repeater on for their full screen. Guess they do but I couldn't manage it myself and hated that it broke follow constantly. The only mouse turning I do is on my master toon.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I definitely use follow and my slaves to not get broadcast movement keys (unless in a special situation like getting out of the black cirlces in PvE). I meant while I'm running away with my locks or trying to manuever I am having to use the mouse to turn which means it's unavailable to click-to-heal.

Personally I HATEE... using A / D. when I used to hard core raid I actually unbound them and changed both to strafe (currently still do.) this frees up Q & E... easy to reach and great for spells used alot. but alas.. this makes me use /fallow alot! and IWT. I just hit broadcast when not using main action bar... then once good or if I need to move tank I un-broadcast. havent had any problems with this set up. (using ISBOXER)

edit..
forgot my whole click to heal thoughts.
I haven't gone to deep into healing tho. but macros worked out well for me. but grid is nice for healers and you could try... cast on Mouseovers instead of clicks

I personally have WASD (+QE) as keys which are not mapped keys.
So they're not broadcast.
However, the slaves are usually on auto follow.

I then have mapped keys for Up, Down, Left and Right Arrows.
Which are broadcast to the slaves only (Target: All without Current).
I have contemplated using Insert, Home, Page Up, Delete, End and Page Down, for slave movement.
As I would have forward/back, turn left/right, strafe left/right, instead of needing to choose between turning and strafing with the arrow keys.

My main usually drives with the mouse, and uses it for looking.
When I want to click heal, I'll either stop or use the W key to continue moving my toons in the same direction (master moving, slaves on follow).
And then move the mouse into the repeater region for click based heals.

Every team has two mapped keys for healing.
Which are basically:
a) Assist Leader toon.
b) Cast [help][help,Target=TargetTarget] Quick Heal or HoT
So these can be used via Keyboard.
Mostly, for healing a friendly target the leader toon targets who is not in my group.
But since it assists off of a hostile target, it is a keyboard heal option too, in pvp.

When I got to thinking about it I guess I do have a few heals mapped to keys just for the instant 'oh crap!' situations. Otherwise I just use healbot.

What might help is the positioning of your heal bars closer to the bottom middle of the screen. I've noticed many people have their's way up near the party frame's. Mine is like 4-5 inches up from the bottom of the screen dead center. This way I don't have to reach for the bars- just mouse off the repeater region for easy turning leaving my pointer in a position for easy targetting as well.

This is a problem all raid healers using click heals know well.

Bind autorun to mousebutton 4 and get used to toggling it on and off quickly.
