Solo ICC Vids

I finished up Lower Spire on my three teams this week and started playing around with Fraps and YouTube. These aren't pretty, don't have cool music or movie-like intros, but here they are:

I think those two are the one's I've had questions about, but may put up Marrowgar and Saurfang videos if anyone is interested.

On one of my teams I cleared trash up to Festergut (which was fun) and made a few macros for him, but after wiping a couple times I started looking at his loot list and just couldn't get motivated to give him more than 20 minutes of trying. I've always been about efficiency - driving efficiency at work is basically what I do from 9 to 5 every day - and almost never go do something "just to say I did it". Festergut's loot list is really crappy - mail feet for my hunters and a +hit staff that isn't as useful as the +spirit staff Saurfang drops are the only things that would be decent upgrades. There are a couple of things that would give me an upgrade from an ilvl 245 item to an ilvl 251 item, but that's not thrilling. It is funny that heroic PoS and HoR both have a better reward for time spent for my teams than Festergut. Of course, I may try him at some point, but I'm not feeling any rush.

At any rate, it has been a great week - getting four ICC bosses down on three teams with few wipes has been fun and I'm looking forward to next Tuesday. :D

Festergut shouldnt be too hard, if you managed gunship, the spores shouldnt be too bad. But you are right, his loot is lackluster. IMO the first 4 bosses have really nice loot tables, then the only good stuff is from the final bosses in each wing, putricide, blood queen, and singragosa. I'd keep farming the first 4 for frosts and get full T10 on everyone. I still think that once of these days we need to box icc25 as a guild, either all 5boxers, or a couple 10 boxers and a 5 boxer, or whatever combo we have. I'd imagine the first 4 would be easy with 2-3 people, for deathwhisper just put one boxer per side, for gunship have one boxer do the jumping, one do the cannons, etc.

Yep, I'm sure a handful of us could do ICC25 pretty easily. It couldn't be as hard as soloing 10-man.

We have the boxers with the gear - all it would take is a bit of oranization.

Are you going to get the free badge (Dreamwalker trash) on all your runs? It's only 1 badge, and it's a bit of trash, but it's only ~5 minutes. once you port up to upper spire instead of going left to plague, go right to frostwing and clear that hallway, the mini boss drops a badge.

That is really impressive stuff there and a ton of skill. Even if I had a 10 man team I'm not even sure I could pull all that stuff off! WOW. Must be a rush and a half 'can even hear it in your voice' once you get a boss down though!

Always meant to ask what system specs you're running your 10 guys on?

I'm running two computers. One is running Win 7, the other Vista.

Both with i7 2.67Ghz processors, one with ATI Radeon 5800, one with a Nvidea 280 (I think). Running 5 clients on each of two SyncMaster 305T's (31" monitors). 12 GB memory on each computer. One with a Velociraptor, one with an SSD.

So both fairly nice systems, but nothing crazy.

As for reaction, in that whole Lady video I'm pretty subdued. I'm glad I didn't have the video running when I first got Gunship down - that would have been pretty embarrassing. :eek:

And Svper, I probably should get the free badge on my teams, but haven't done it yet. I kinda feel like I'm swimming in badges at this point though. I try to check my guys every week to see if it is time for an upgrade, but I was surprised to see that one of my shammies had 160 emblems of frost on him when I checked him this week. :confused: I may actually have to think about selling some Primordial Saronite soon.
