May have messed up RAF accounts

Alright so what I planned on doing was getting 5 shamans to multibox with, and I have gotten everything setup and the accounts are running. But I just realized that the accounts have to be invited by a main account to get the RAF and XP bonus so is there anyway to link accounts even though they have already been created normally? Or am I screwed leveling without the XP bonus and the free levels?
ATM none of the accounts have RAF because I'm a dumbass and made them without an invite.

You are screwed. I asked Blizzard this particular question a few months ago and they said they cannot change the linking of any RaF accounts. The person I talked to did mess up in his first reply telling me he could re-link them...then he did further research to give me this reply:

I looked into this a bit further, and if the accounts are already linked through Recruit-a-Friend, I can't edit the account linking to link them to different accounts, I'm sorry if I gave you that impression before. To confirm your second question, when the recruited accounts pay for their second month's subscription, the veteran account that recruited it will be awarded the Zhevra.

So if I linked two more accounts and bought two more WoW's my problem would be fixed right?

Have you upgraded the accounts (WotLK or BC)? If not, depending on your plans, you may consider starting over and writing off the $80. If you're only planning on leveling one team anyway, then just keep with your current account and start leveling :)

Yes, you could essentially have 2 of your newly acquired accounts re-recruit one account each.

So right now you've got:


A > BCDE
And you'd make it so B & C recruit one each:


A > B > D [New]
A > C > E [New]
With the new method you could use a high level on A to boost the rest with.

yeah BC on all of them, got the battlechest for 30$ so it would cost 60$ for two more battlechests so i can get 3x XP on all 5 of my characters, correct? and the account payment itself which is going to cost 30$ more, but plus the RAF thing i would get another free month on my other accounts right?

3XP on all 5 with the method above- NO. The "MAIN" account , A, will not get 3XP. The method he is describing assumes you have a decent 80 on your Main account to run the 4 new accounts with.

Let me see if I can make it easier to understand.

This is what you HAVE:
Main Account (A)
Boxer Accounts (B,C,D,E)
A didnt Refer B,C,D,E so NONE are getting triple XP

SOLUTION:
WRITE OFF ACCOUNTS D & E- DELETE FROM YOUR BRAIN, they don't exist any more (just forget the $60 its blown)
Have Account B refer another account- Account F
Have Account C refer another account- Account G
NEW COST: $60 (or however expensive the BattleChest is where you live)

NOW: B & F(new account) will have 3XP
C & G(new account) will have 3XP
Main Account - A- Gets nothing...except new friends to party with

How to level them:
Main Account, A, parties with B,F, C,G... runs them thru dungeons
B&F get triple xp and level quickly
C&G get triple xp and level quickly
Main Account- gets nothing
Remember the linked accounts must be partied to get the 3XP you cant party any of them together and get it... it must be the Referring account and the referred account


It'll work if you only want one team and your main account has a class you want on that team

If your main doesn't have the class you want OR if you want multiple teams... won't work

Also if you RAF the accounts- you get a 'free month' when you buy the BattleChest... and once the referred accounts have paid for an ADDITIONAL MONTH after the first month, the account who referred them gets a free month. I understand what your saying now. What if account A recuits all brand new accounts *lets say 2 3 4 and 5*, then will all 5 of them get 3x XP once partied up?

If they're brand new...

You could go with:
A -- B -- C
A -- D -- E
And then level 5x new toons together.
And probably take them to 70th or so.. upper 60's anyway.
With a tank type toon on Account A, in the first set.
Who can then boost (be a high level and instance run the new lowbies on BCDE) the other accounts for later character sets.
BC and DE will each get 3x exp's when boosted by A, because they each are linked to a lowbie leveling account.
And A (via granted levels from BC/DE) will get a few free toons.

The ideal would be to boost 3 sets of toons on BCDE with A, plus the initial one toon per account.

Which gets you:
A x1 (Leveled) +4x (2x from B, 2x from D) + 2x (Cascade granted.. 1x from B and 1x from D, based on levels received from C and E respectively).
B x4 (Leveled) +2x (Granted from C)
C x4 (Leveled)
D x4 (Leveled) +2x (Granted from E)
E x4 (Leveled)

For a total of:
A x7
B/C x6
D/E x4

I did the same thing when i started thing when i started but i made a call to blizzard and they voided the serials, gave me new ones and let do the invites and start over. It only took a couple hours for the whole process and may still be worth a shot to give them a phone call.

If you call Blizzard within 30 days they'll fix it for you.

They were going to retroactively give me all my missed out RAF benefits but I'd waited way too long to call.

Nothing, as far as I know, this is how I did my setup.

With ABCDE you miss out on granting levels from B->A and D->A, you still get B->A, but D will grant to C. Also in ABC / ADE account C and E both won't get granted levels, so there is a pro and con to both. Depends on what your end goal is.

I have a friend who i gave RAF to so will still get grant level from him when he gets to 60 on account A


Regarding the RAF bonus

I was checking the xp levels on what i get
one quest i just did gave 13 000 + (9000 RAF bonus)
But when i checked the xp level it only went up from 30 000 to 43 000 meaning im not getting the RAF bonus
am i missing something here

Its not 13000 + 9000.
It's 4500 + 9000 = 13,500.
4500 + 4500 + 4500 = 13500.
