Priceline seems to be the way to go--- they got me cheaper prices then the websites were advertising.
Doing flight - car - ect with them I got hooked up.
So right now there three of us?

I'm trying again this Sat, or I'll just do what I did last year and buy it from a guy on eBay who doesn't even know who Blizzard is, but just bought 25 tickets cause all his OC friends told him he could make a couple grand doing it. Seriously, the guy thought it was like Pokemon or something.
As for the latency, it does make a huge difference. Almost all the eBay listings are from Orange County and LA.
Well, at least I booked my hotel back in Feb and have frequent flier miles to get there.
So who is setting up the annual dinner, and do we still wanna do California Pizza Kitchen again this year?

Was 600 in que when they sold out, will try again on Sat, otherwise I will have to go the ebay route.

It really bugs me that people buy tickets just to resell. Blizzard should just up the price to $300 or so. Sure, there would be a lot of people who wouldn't go, but obviously they're "worth" more than $150 if they sell out the first second they go up and people are buying them on ebay for almost $500 already.

Good luck all attending this year, I don't think I'll be able to make it. Please make a d-b dinner party like last time. That was the highlight of my trip! :)

Or just add a "no resale for profit" clause to the TOS/EULA of the ticket. The big problem they run into is that it would only be enforceable at the door and by then the scalper has already made their money and the unlucky fan that overpaid would get screwed. It might lower chances that scalpers would try and sell the tickets in the first place, but that first year would suck when whatever percentage of tickets get wasted when scalpers buy them and can't sell them.
Personally, I'd like them to restrict sales to people who have purchased a Blizzard game or game time in the last year or had a Battle.net account for over a year. Have to wonder how many tickets went to Bnet accounts with no games attached.
Hell, I wish I had a good solution, but that would just mean more angst when they didn't do it ;)

I still have a friend who will need a single ticket. I'm confirming this with him asap, but I'm sure he would be willing to pay fair market value.

What about limiting to B.net accounts over 6 months old, which is anounced 3 months before blizzcon tickets go on sale. It might work once. Then only to Bnet accounts with active toons leading to day of sale, say 3 months. I do not want to go, but it is unfair for players who do want to go not to get tickets.

You're from Hawaii too? I started around 5100 in queue on the Saturday release batch. Still wasn't good enough to get tickets before it sold out. :-\ Guess my packets wanted to do a some swimming before getting to Blizz's servers. Anyway, warlocks say Aloha. :D

Yeah I used the PST time website to know when to start hitting f5 -- i spammed 2-3 times before the site came online, was like 2700 in que when it popped.
i love hookups and how friends and family of blizz employees get a free ticked + 2 guaranteed tix~
