Hey guys, I have been lurking around the forums reading everything I can for a while now. I have been dual boxing for quite some time and have done so successfully with nothing more then an X-Keys Pro and two computers. I have recently purchased Keyclone and am experimenting with running two accounts from the same computer using this program.
I am trying to figure out the best way to setup my healer which will be my boxed toon. I have a druid as my healer, and run her along with my tank or hunter dps.
My question is what is the best way for healing with keyclone and macros without switching screens. I have focus macros setup for making tank healing easy, but what about healing other grp members as they take damage?
Any help for my druid healing would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you kindly,

One other thing, are there any options besides iso boxer that allow click healing through windows. I mean if I main window tank I want to be able to continue using vudhu/clique to heal party members. I know iso boxer can do this, but I am not a fan of subscription based services and would rather pay one time for functionality.

ISboxer is incredible and so easy to use. Healbot/Vuhdo one of those mods +mouse repeater regions. Really the only way to go... If I had to go back to using macros I'd probably stop multiboxing lol.
ISboxer is only 10 bucks for 3 months. It is also updated frequently at no extra charge...

Yea everything I read about it is great, and if they offered a one time payment type deal for the software I would jump, but I just cant justify subscription fees for something like this, especially since I only 2 box.
thank you for teh reply though

Each account is 15/mo, or 180/yr.
With two accounts, that's 360/yr.
Or with my five accounts, that's 900/yr.
36/year for the boxing software, is a small amount comparatively.
Still, if you want one-time purchase software, your best bet will be either KC + HKN or straight HKN.
HKN has a lot of the mouse stuff, that KC is lacking.

Yea I by no means think its overpriced per say, I just have a thing abt subscription pricing in general..lol. I am stuck with it for wow, just cant justify it for something out of pure conveinence.
I will check out HKN

Well if you were indy 500 racecar driver woud you use a lower octane fuel to save money?
IsBoxer blows everything else away there is no comparison anymore.

I love Freddie and HKN, but ISBoxer is quite simply the best product available. It's extremely impressive and though I'm still learning how to utilize many options, I can definitely tell it will void headaches and make the game more enjoyable.

Im a Hotkey user so don't feel alone there. Back to your original question before the forum was hijacked by key broadcasting software, what I do is I stick to ingame macros assigned to party1, party2, party3, party4, player. party1 is always your leader. you can rename party1 to your tank if you don't have several teams and you are feeling the macro limit ingame crunch.
ingame, the macro I use is modifier specific, meaning shift press does something different than ctrl, alt, etc.
outside game, HKN only sends the healer window the keypress with modifer, though in HKN you have to have seperate keybroadcasting entries for each modifer, otherwise, it will just send lets say f3, instead of shift f3. there is a way to define modifiers inside of HKN, but I just don't bother.
However, raid healing is pretty much too crazy. so my HKN / ingame macros solution may not be the best for doing say av.

I just bind all my heals to the numpad. I have gheal->tank and PoH bound to normal keys, but every other heal is on the numpad.

/cast [modifier:alt, @party1] Swiftmend
/cast [modifier:ctrl, @party1] healing touch
/castsequence [@party1] reset=4 Rejuvenation, lifebloom, lifebloom, Regrowth
I have one of these macros for each person in the party, bound to 1-5 on the numpad.
I use authohotkey to set up the "0" and the "+" on the numpad as ctrl and alt modifiers respectively, and I modded RaidCooldowns a little to show swiftmend cooldowns.
I have a long @focus tanking heal macro with lots of , , , that is bound to the same key as my tank spam so that I actually spend very little time having to think about tank healing.

I had something simular for my priest but after a while, I had issues with mana being available when I actually needed it. I will say this only speaking as a previous raid healer in a the high end raiding guild on a low end server. Healing where you don't have to think about it is always lazy healing. that being said, and quickly disregarded, the thing I hated about the "tank main key bound to the healer on tank key" was that I always found myself chaning how many commas were in the cast sequence which led to wipes on heroics etc as one fight wasn't as intense as others were plus gearscore increases. finally, i bunkered down and just accepted that I could watch my tank window health and make conscious descisions on how to how to heal.
for your druid, its best when you are keeping your hots up and rolling, which can be a pain if you ask me but I never rolled a log for a healer either. If your castsequence is basically that, then I suppose I didn't really heal you out, but oh well :D
GL :)
ps. I will say that if you are going to use ahk to give nhk a swing. I was a ahk purest especially when I was using a mac laptop to dual box with origianlly. the changes were really nice and worth the time to rewrite up my config script.

I have a question with regard to Healbot and repeater regions.
I'm now running with a DK-Shamanx3 & Druid.
I've successfully set up the healer regions to work from my main screen (tank) however with reference to the name list name the tank's heal click region does not match, in other words when taking damage if I click that particular location it does not heal the tank, it heals the healer. It appears if the tank/healer names are swapped.
I remember reading something about that here, but I can't locate the post.
The order of the invite is Tank, shaman's and healer
Is there a method in which to fix this? or is it just the way it is.
Not a big deal, but would like the clicks to respond accordingly.

Not sure on the Healbot, OpenRDX or Vuhdo specifics, but I know all three along with Grid + GridCustomLayouts (which I use), each have the option for a fixed or alphabetical sort.
If the clicks don't correspond, then a repeater region based healing system is actually quite a bit worse then just using macros, as with macros you at least know the heal is going to the injured toon who needs it.
Try a forum search, or if that fails then a google search.

If you go with Grid, you'll need:
a) Grid.
b) Grid Custom Layouts, for a non-standard layout.
c) Clique, to interpret the clicks.
You can go with an alphabetical sort, like this:
/Grid Config
Layout > Custom Layouts > New
order=NAME;
Or a fixed order sort, like this:
/Grid Config
Layout > Custom Layouts > New
ToonA,ToonB,ToonC,ToonD,ToonE;sortMethod = "LIST"
n1;NOR
n2;NOR
n3;NOR
n4;NOR
n5;NOR
I'm not sure how, but wouldn't mind an alphabetical sort, but with names in a 5x5 grid, instead of alphabetically in one very long list.
The alphabetical sort is excellent for 10-man's, but kind of unwieldy in 25-man or 40-man events.

So Clique will allow an operation much like repeater region? Thus allowing me to click heal from my main without using key pressing?
Also, my toons have the 1st 2 letters in their name as extended ascii characters, so I guess I need to figure the order of those.
ie.. Ñ (alt+0209) is the 1st letter in each, with the 2nd letter being ì , í , ï , î respectively
I just did my 1st 5-man dungeon with this group just a few days ago, however my tank and healer are fairly geared 80's while the shamans are just now 71. I figure by the time they hit 80 I'll have a better handle on doing heroics (I hope) :)

you can also sort the names in Vuhdo so you always have the same layout in the group on all toons :)
I use isboxer with repeater regions combined with Vuhdo, but as Ualaa said Grid is also a good solution.
There are several topics around the use of vuhdo. In my expirence its nice to have both tank healing bound to the dps keys using alot of ,,,,,, and use click healing on vuhdo.
But some prefer healing using keys.
I have the posibility to go into "raid" mode with repeater regions so I can heal in a raid while still boxing.

In Healbot you just click the list by names check box in options. That way it's always in alphabetical order- just make sure to do it on your healer as well.

Click on the options button- then highlight the SKINS tab then highlight the HEALING tab.
There you will see a variety of checkboxes for the bars you wish to display. This is also where you turn on/off your pet/vehicle heal bars.
Scroll down to the bottom and change it to Sort by: NAME in the options box.
