Not that I actually play EQ1, but they still email me; and as part of their upcomming server merge they are going to purge inactive characters below level 10. So figured i'd post this as a heads-up in case someone besides me has a bunch of level 1 Bazaar guys from back when they played EQ1 that are probably worth saving due to all the money that those guys held onto as part of buying and selling stuff. I resubscribed temporarily to save my plats, as it were, and in the process thought of Sam, "I have millions of plats in eq" deathwalker lol. But for all i know, there could be other ex-eq1 folks here, so figured a post was appropriate.

pertinent info:
Inactive Characters
Accounts with characters below level 10 that have been inactive for six months or more will be purged from the EQ system.
anyway, as I said, just a heads up. This is supposed to happen end of june/beginning of july.

They merging all inot one server/type (PvE, PvP)?
I always wanted to try to multibox a group in that, but the game has been around so long, idk if even worht the effort if it's on it's last leg etc.

There is only the one PVP server IIRC now.
They are (roughly) halving the number of servers.
I don't know, I sort of doubt it unless you are well established. I have friends that still play (die hards, if you will) that will be there till the door's close, but its basically a solo game until the highest levels of content. (Which, starting from scratch in EQ, that'd take quite awhile to get there, probably more time than in wow or any other game, easily. Though, this is somewhat debatable.)

Yeah, I'd be completely clueless about the game. I tried it solo earlier on.....looks like I was purged, so I didn't get very far, but I was curious as far as the adventure aspect. Be a whole (extremely large) world for me to explore w/ a small group.

EQ1 is really easy to level in now. You can get to 50 in a week of solo play without really trying if you're just casual about it. Think I hit 50 in a day or two, but I was multiboxing and had resources to twink. Although, there are good and easy to get gear now that will serve you well, stuff that use to require a 75 person raid to attain now drop off trash.
