I'm thinking about 3boxing inLFD. I'm totally sure about classes but all are going to be ranged dps.
I was wondering anybody else does this?
And have been griefed by the tank for being a boxer?:(

As long as you don't do anything to make things harder you should be fine

DON'T DO THIS.
I've 3-boxed as DPS before, your dungeon queue times will be at least 1 hour to 1.5 hours each. When I switched to tank + DPS my queue times were almost instant.

Tank + 1 x dps is always the best as long as you explain your group that they shouldn't take much care of your DPS toon. This also allows you to bring some other friend if you want to run him through some instances. We have done that a couple of times with Dramoth gearing his warrior.
I have also done 3 x dps + healer and leave someone else tank. Usually it works good too even with undergeared tanks. So far most tanks seem to be happy because they see absolutely no aggro issues and it makes the run enjoyable for them that way.
tank + healer is almost impossible and relatively unpleasant because there is always some stupid hunter pulling aggro.
Queue time for tanks is usually 5 seconds, less than a minute for healers and between 10 and 15 minutes for DPS on my server, so joining with your tank will grant you almost instant group.

This is obviously dependent on how active your battlegroup is.

If you've gone as far as 3 why not just go 5 and make yourself a full group? Or at least head in that direction.
With 5 it's instant queue get your daily heroic knocked out in less than 30 mins.

Maybe because 3 dps almost plays like 1 character, if they're the same class. Where playing dps, tank and heal is quite a whole different story. Much more complicated, which you must like. (i don't.)

3 DPS is fun to play, for the reasons Littleburst listed.
Grab a guildie who's a healer/tank and shorten your queue time!

I run tank/healer/3dps and I have a total of two macros that I use. I just scroll my mouse up and down to do heroics, the first wing of icc, 3d sarth, 10 man raids with another boxer, and pretty much anything else. My point being that playing a boxed group is actually RIDICULOUSLY simple. Give it a go.

I just did tank+healer for 50 levels and I loved it. I think its actually less work than heal+dps because you can coordinate cooldowns. If I was just healing and the mage takes damage, I might have to stop and give him a real heal, but as a boxer I know I'm about to taunt so I can just toss out the hot.
Movement while levelling is also not a huge deal... and actually having your source of heal aggro on follow and sitting in the consecrate all the time is nice (easy enough to back the healer out using arrow keys for bosses or trash that cleaves). Having innervate as a pally tank before divine plea saves downtime questing (plus innervate glyph of course!) and saves your ass in instances.
Also you'd be surprised at how little attention people pay... in dozens of instances no one has ever mentioned that I was boxing and the few people I've mentioned it to were surprised. I've tried to be sensible about which instances I do, and if I don't really remember it I'll do it on one toon first to make sure its something that doesn't have a mechanism thats going to mess me up. My tank macros mark skull and X respectively, and at the beginning of the instance I ask people to dps skull to help me out and stand in the consecrate if they get nervous. (this of course sets up that thats exactly where my healer is going to be for 80% of the instance)
Other places the coordination comes in handy... "that one idiot hunter" doesn't really mess me up, if he wants to offtank with his pet, I ask him not to, but his pet isn't going to get healed regardless so it's easy enough to wait for it to die and then taunt off a person.
