View Full Version : 2 man healing in BG's

As it was pointed out to me, having just 2 accounts <> the necessary DPS for one shotting people in BG's as a Elemental Shammy Combo.
(and I wish I could afford more accounts but my wife would kill me :D)
So lets look at this from the other end.....Healing.
I have read some of the posts trying to figure out how to use healbot with two healers. If I mousebutton and click on a guy in healbot on Healer A, he casts chain heal on that guy. How do I get Healer B to do the same?
Currently I use Keyclone for all of my multiboxing purposes (not to it's fullest probably).
In the posts I was reading I saw some talk about repeating regions, but I think that is with IS, correct ?

i think it would be interesting to do so long as you stay with a large group

Repeater Regions is an IS Boxer feature.
Basically, its a configured area, where once the mouse enters the region, mouse broadcasting turns on.
And when the mouse leave the area, the broadcasting turns off.
You can choose which toons receive the broadcasting.
And you can use a KVM mode, so the active window doesn't receive the click.
But if you use a group (predefined set of toons) as the target, all targets receive the click even if you use KVM mode.
If you were to set up, Grid+GridCustomLayouts+Clique or Healbot or Vuhdo, you can have the addon interpret your clicks for heals.
So Alt+Left might be Renew, Alt+Right Flash heal, Ctrl+Left Penance, Ctrl+Right PW:Shield, Shift+Left Pain Suppression, and Shift+Right Prayer of Healing.
Then you mouse over the desired frame, do your click (with or without modifiers), and the recipient casts whatever at that target based on your click.
You need an alphabetical or other fixed order.
So the top frame refers to the same toon on each character's screen.
You could probably get this type of functionality with Hot Key Net too.

I ran 2 resto druids in the 60-69 bracket while i was lvling them to catch up to the other 2 druids that were 70+. It was freaking hillarious doing WSG with 2 tree druids.

Several people on Grim batol also did BG with several resto druids and it seemed that had A LOT of fun with them.
I think druids are stronger then shaman though. Since shaman rely heavily on casting.

You could try mentioning the relatively low price of warcraft in relation to just about any other hobby, too.
Each account is basically 15/mo, so five is close to 75/mo.
I'll spend more then that, one night at a pub with a couple of friends.
If you ever take a look at radio control cars, my buddy blows $1500 a month on that hobby.
And he's starting to get into helicopters, which I'm sure will cost a bit more.
Not sure you'll win that argument, but it's cheaper then almost anything else you could be doing.
And with five accounts, you're free to play when you want and for as long as you want.
And are free to drop the game and hearth out of anywhere, at the drop of a hat - something which isn't true always with fewer accounts and other actual players in your group/raid etc.

for dps, synchronized explosions give us our strength, but for healing, seemless coordination isnt exactly necessary, and several individual healers could accomplish the same thing easier, so you won't have nay real advantage over others...

I agree with you synchronized explosions is a big advantage of multiboxers, but in BGs I think the biggest advantage is that you have focused fire. Many single players assisting one leader would be better in BGs for the most part, but instead you have lots of independent players killing different targets which isn't ideal.
Regarding dual healers, I guess it depends if you think there are enough healers in BGs. I know that when I go against a team that has lots of healers, who are actually healing and not trying to kill, we lose badly. Bringing two dedicated healers can impact the DPS/healing ratio and be a big help.

I was chain running flags with 2 resto druids it was hillarious. Lvl 60-69 bracket getting 300k+ healing on both guys. For multiple healers I think priests/druids will work the best with circle of healing / wild growth. LifeBloom/Rejuv stacking up on people makes them pretty durable.

I find, in the majority of battlegrounds there isn't a whole lot of healing.
Most people prefer to kill, for whatever reason.
When I decide to heal an AV with my shammy (elemental) team, for a change of pace... it is usually a profound impact.
I'd imagine a group of healers, be it two or five, who are spec'd as healers, would be a large impact and in a positive way.

Do you mean you healed with all five of your shamans? I can't see having more than two or three healers being effective. Especially since shamans don't really have good HoT's.

It's been a while.. but had four shammies at the time.
Did AV's and basically spammed Chain Heal.
And followed along with the swarm.
That was easily a far larger (positive) impact, then nuking others.
Then again, that was in a gearing up stage.
It might be different, with full current season gear, or at least being mostly geared.
