OK guys... I've seen multiple strats for BGs, arena comps, heroics, old school raids, the list goes on.... but I haven't seen ANYTHING for... STAIRS!!!

Yes, stairs. The bane of my existence. I would rather run around Org behind Thrall's chamber than run up that freakin twisty turny flight of orc nightmarish stairs.

How do you guys handle these? I can barely manage this crap in town. I'm dreading having to climb these when I start running AV regularly....

I sometimes have stair issues, but even the towers in av are not issues for me.

Perhaps give us some details about your setup? Here are mine.

Latency: 40 ms
Program: Isboxer
Style: mouse turn leader while the 4 slaves follow. I make sure to swing wide and go a bit slower than normal. Also, I will wait a bit around sharp corners so the slaves can catch up.

If your latency is very high, it can make stairs worse.

Honestly, I avoid them cause if an enemy@catches me, he can easily mess me up and scatter them.

The best way to handle this particular area is ....

Roll Alliance :_X

How I handled this on my horde teams is just hug the outer wall with the main so the slaves take the widest path. seems to work ok.

Ive found that if you creep along at a crazy slow pace, you're much more likely to get people to fall off. Just stop at the base of the stairs, confirm your team is behind you, and run non stop around the very outer edge of the stair case.

Should work

A big problem for Oceanic multiboxers where our latency is always around 250ms (and sometimes as high as 500ms, forcing me to drop Crusader aura from epic flight). I too have sometimes gone to the extent of riding around via Thralls to get to the upper level of Orgrimmar.

Some tips I've found:

1. Run, don't ride, up stairs. Dismount.

2. Hug the outer wall.

3. Stop for very brief moments if you need to, to let the followers catch up.

4. Curse the Gods for not having 40ms latency......

you could try replicating your movement keys for slaves instead and move them exactly as your main but with a slight delay. I haven't tried this and it sounds crazy, but I often use similar techique to avoid any issues with phased zones.

just hug the outer wall and run up. Haven't had any problems really.

Sometimes a slave get's stuck on a pillar within the FW towers, but that's about it.

You can always tell a boxer by the way they walk, lol. Even when I'm on solo I find myself looking behind me and seeing if the teams with me up stairs out of habit.

Man all I can say is level out of the Org/TB areas as quickly as possible. We all have to make sacrifices you know doing what we do. Like I always walk my toons 1 by 1 through Dalaran instead of trying to fight the lag. Lag, getting hung up on stairs or tight corners just try and stay aware.

I know I've gone through half a dungeon before realizing one of my team got hung up around the beginning, lol. That always sucks but I try and keep a better eye on it now too.

Stay away from Undercity! problem solved.. =p
Im not sure if you dont have major delay going up stairs shouldnt be to bad.. try walking on them instead of norm run speed, and don't use mounts

Something to consider is using movement boosting enchants on your slaves but not your main. Such as Tuskers Vitality. Run + Sta buff on the boots. This will solve quite a few annoying little follow problems.

Ritual of Summoning.

Just move yur warlock and 2 other guys to wherever you want to go.

Move forward to the outer edge as stated, then back up yur main hugging the outer edge so your followers clear whatever is obsturcting them, then slowly move forward, again at the outer edge. Ya move, stop, move, stop etc. so that they clear the center area (i.e. the center is not between the lead and followers). As long as the center is never between leader and followers you never stick.

But a warlock gonna save you a tons of time.

It's already been said to death but hell I'll say it one more time. Go wide and hug the outter edge of the spiraling staircases.

This is what I do. Takes some getting used to but it works unless you're lagging to hell.

For Epic flying I've taken to having Crusader Aura on one of the followers rather than the leading main. Seems to work better. Follow still breaks though if latency climbs up to about 500-600ms.

Yeahno.

If you can get three up, you can get five up. Not all of us do 10/36.
