Heirloom items from account to account?

Hi guys,

I was wondering whether I could transfer my main to my other dual-boxing account in order to buy him some heirloom items. I'm sure that if this is possible, someone here will have done it. So is it possible?

Ah someone just suggested I create a new char, equip him with the BoA items and transfer him to the new account. Is that possible or will the items get deleted when I transfer them?

I am inclined to believe that account bound means account bound, ie the item id is registered to your account id, not just your character id. though, I am now pondering just how they know which toon purchased what item. You could try it out with a free transfer if your server is eligable.


well, not how they know, but rather if they track it and are able to track it back to the originating toon...

You can transfer toons with boa items. I did this when I needed boa items on a second account. I just put all of the items I wanted to transfer to the new account (all of the leather, plate, cloth, weapons) on one toon and transferred that toon to the second account. From there I was able to trade the items freely within my second account. You cannot trade them back to the first though unless you transfer a toon back with the items.

The 'account bound' only checks to see if the player you're trading/mailing it to is on the same account as that char. It doesn't care which account bought the item.

You can create a new char and transfer him over with all your BoA stuff (heirlooms, BoA pets, mounts, etc) without a problem. There's a minimum level restriction of 10 to go through a server transfer though.

When I started x5 multiboxing, my main toon had over 1K emblems and tons of Wintergrasp Shards.

I added x4 accounts and created x4 level 10 toons on my main account.

I then bought x5 cloth shoulders, cloth chest pieces, weapons, trinkets, and Tome of Cold Weather Flying. I went with cloth since it can be used by any class.

After that, I simply transferred the toons to the new accounts. The heirlooms made leveling my x5 teams much quicker and the Tome of Cold Weather Flying meant I could fly in northrend immediately.

It costs a bit of money 4 x $15 = $60, but the time it saves (especially the flying time) easily pays back your investment.

Never forget your Tomes...hehe.

Leveling Northrend without flight would be very very unfun.
