I am thinking of leveling a hunter, since I'm bored with my pala and priest. The only problem is that I really hate questing and getting into dungeons as dps takes half an hour. So I was thinking of multiboxing, but I can't figure out how to do the macros.

My plan is to let the hunter follow my healer in dungeons, then when tank starts to attack, I want the hunter to send the pet + start autoshotting. Is there any way to do this or should I throw away this idea?

Somethink like this:
/follow "insert healer name"
/assist partymember1
/cast pet attack
/cast auto shot
/follow "insert healer name"

Thanks in advance!

I have this setup but with three hunters and a priest leading them. They all have their attack macros set to /assist focus. Not a name specifically. They have a separate macro to set whoever they have selected to set as their focus. This way, I can constantly have them attacking the tank's targets. Gotta be careful this way cause the tank could select something by mistake and then your hunter/s would attack that target. Happened with me and a friend, from then I just have them target my priest's targets instead. To keep my priest from deselecting a mob or target for my hunter's, I use Healbot for healing the party. This way I never lose my target. I also use Omen3 for threat management, but threat won't show up on your main unless they cause damage to the target, so do atleast 1% damage to watch your hunter's dps this way. Don't have to be a spell you cast, just shoot the target with your wand once then stop or move if you want to. I'll have to log my team in then copy my macros, but this setup is very doable and fun if I might add. Word of wisdom, make sure your ranged have 'attack on assist' turned off in the interface options.

So, now I need help for doing a macro for this:

Let the hunter follow focus, assist focus, cast auto shot, cast pet attack and if possible use arcane shot and rapid fire on cooldowns and then follow focus after fight.

Thanks for sharing your experience!

if it was me, I would put follow on a separate button - used ` when I used Keyclone and now the default ctrl-alt-F in IS. Can someone check if you can put /castsequence after a /cast autoshot? If not add it to the castsequence instead:

/assist priestname (or focus)
/cast autoshot
/pet attack
/use 13
/use 14
/castsequence reset=target/6 arcane shot, spell2, spell3 etc...

I run 3 hunters, 2 BM and 1 MM/BM. Most of the buttons are the same on all three, some changed up a bit for spells that don't stack to keep rotations up like Concussive Shot.

Assist button on all slave toons set to e for me so it's convenient. Don't turn on "attack on assist" in the interface options, or put /startattack in this or you will dismount every time you hit this key. Not fun when flying up high and hitting this on accident.

/castsequence reset=target Hunter's Mark,,,,Viper Sting,,,,Aimed Shot,,,,Steady Shot,,,,Arcane Shot,,,,Steady Shot,,,,Viper Sting,,,,Aimed Shot,,,,Steady Shot,,,,Arcane Shot

Button 8 virtually the same, but CS is after every two SShots for each toon.

Priest

Don't have many macros for this one set up, most spells are straight from the spellbook and placed in various hotkeys, same goes for spells not listed for the hunters above. I don't use Volley cause Keyclone mouse broadcasting sucks for target on ground AoE spells, so I'll use it more when I switch to ISBoxer.

Button 1
Mind Soothe

Button 2 (this is so I can watch Omen3 with the dps threat for my hunters. Won't show up unless you do damage yourself and DoTs cost mana+take too long sometimes.)
/castsequence reset=target/5 shoot,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Button 3 is empty

Button 4 (I spam this only when mobs close in. you can put in a /castsequence with dots like Button 2 to minimize mana drainage)
Holy Nova

Button 5 is empty

Button 6
#showtooltip
/castsequence reset=target Devouring Plague, Shadow Word: Pain

Button 7 empty

Button 8 empty

I didn't see a kill shot in any of these macros. I have mine set to a /castrandom [target=target, exists] kill shot but I don't see it go off on my four hunters as often as I think it should.

I have Kill Shot on it's own button and not in a macro, cause by the time I'm ready to fire it off, the toons will already have the right target in it's sights (targeting it) so all I have to do is hit that. Plus, since I'm not using a macro addon like Macaroon, it cuts down on macros I have to make. Bosses are the only thing I ever use it on anyway, and this team hardly steps foot in an instance right now. By the way, /castrandom got changed a few patches back and no longer works like it used to. If you've got more then one spell in a macro with this, it will get hung up on the spell that's still on cooldown till it's ready, so timing out a /castsequence or /click macro setup is the way to go for most. My team is not yet 80, so I haven't run any dps tests with this macro, it works for me without pulling aggro off bears or tank when I do run instances. Tho I do keep Aspect of the Viper up at all times to prevent that as well, if not, then bears can't hold aggro long.
