Previously I have been using keyclone via wine to multibox under Linux. All worked well until a recent upgrade, and now I can not get the windows to position themselves correctly. The windows open but are not placed into the proper locations.
I have started to branch out and try other multiboxing solutions, but have not much luck with them.
I am starting to look at xdotool as I know others have used that to multibox natively under Linux, but I am not far along with that at all.
I am curious what software other Linux multiboxers use.
Last I heard, ISBoxer will work if you run ISBoxer (and export to Inner Space) from Windows and run Inner Space in wine. IS does require WoW to be in Direct3D mode, but it should work. You may need to copy a font or two from a windows install for Inner Space fonts to work right, as well as d3dx9_37.dll.
The ISBoxer program is only used to make configuration changes, and it didn't work in wine last I heard because it's a .NET 2.0 program.
I imagine other multiboxing programs would probably work under wine as well

Thanks, Lax. I will give ISBoxer another look. I was trying to get ISBoxer itself to run, and as you pointed out .NET 2.0 caused failure.

I finally got the chance to play with this some more last night. I was able to get IS working fine via wine.
I realized that originally that I was trying to run IS without ISBoxer. Downloading the ISBoxer bundle sure helps it to work correctly.
I currently have ISBoxer mostly working via wine as well. The only issues I see at the moment is the window menu with file etc is scrambled and checkboxes are not shown. The window menus still display if you click blindly click where they should be. The checkboxes are there as well, just not displayed. If I click where the checkbox should be it does interact appropriately. Running ISBoxer from Windows in a VM and copying the results across works fine.
For my own curiosity I will play with ISBoxer some more under wine on a test box. See if I can get to the root of those 2 issues.

Yes, it is 5 accounts on 1 pc, but I have not really started playing yet. I got the intial setup of IS setup last night, and am still working on setting it up for a desirable playstate with keymaps etc. Once I actually get some play time in, I will post performance.
