Hmm according to this forum I last logged in on december 31st, 1969.My memory isn't perfect but it hasn't been THAT long. However, I have been out of the multiboxing business since about a month into wrath so I have a few questions. I poked around on the forums a little and I'm seeing some changes.
What happened to AutoHotKey? That's the software I used to use for my 4 boomkins, and its no longer listed on the software FAQ list. Is hotkeynet almost the same thing?
How do battlenet accounts affect log in? Do I need to start my new RAF account under a new battlenet account?
What are peoples experiences with levelling up using the Random dungeon finder? If I show up for RDF with my healer and tank, are people going to be really annoyed that I'm multiboxing? I missed out on dungeons with my first group of multiboxers, and its an aspect I'm eager to experience this time.
I'm planning to do a tankadin with a healadin this time, just to have something simple.

Lots has happened:
I can't tell you about autohotkey but hotkeynet is used by a few boxers.
The random dungeon finder removed the reason of "I can't get a group regularly for heroics therefore i'll 5-box", so if that was your sole motivator, you can now solo-box.

The UK can't decide if they are socialists or capitalists, so are having both.
Fulham got to the cup final and lost (someone didn't hand over the script to Athletico Madrid telling them to lose)
As for battlenets, I've got 5 accounts on 1 battlenet account and can log them all in at once (limit 7 per bnet, no limit on bnet accounts). RAF works over multiple bnet accounts.
healadins are not the most popular healers due to micromanagement, other classes (particularly trees) are better.
Oh, and Greece are going bust.
Kinda sums up all the important things since 1969

The second account is JUST for the purpose of getting my paladin to 60, are trees really easier to multibox at low levels? I was worried that they are squishier and have more mana management issues.

um good question i haven't levelled a healer to 60. You may be better getting your 2nd paladin as retribution to give occasional / passive heals to the 1st and to dps. I'm not really the right person to answer this as i boosted all my toons to 60 via an 80 tankadin.
If it was me i would either do a retri or druid for the additional dps capabilities + heals/rez

autohotkey is still there, its just used as a basis for botting software and hotnetkeys. Think it might still have libraries used by ISBoxer, oct, etc...
you can have as many or few battlenet accounts as you want, link as you desire.

I'll recommend one B.Net account per Warcraft account.
That means you can log all of them in, at once, with a single authenticator.
But you'll lose out on the ease of account management.
If you go with the reverse, and have all your accounts on one B.Net account, then its the opposite...
Your account management can be done with a single log-in, and then a drop down menu.
But your general logging into the game, will be 30 seconds between each account.
Personally I log into the game more frequently then make changes to my account management, so chose the faster log in times.
Free software, Hot Key Net is the top product. Mojo is in development, also by Freddie, so it will be good when its done. Octopus is another option too.
I'd recommend IS Boxer, as the top boxing software. There are other options too, like Keyclone, PB or Game Commander Pro.
Jamba (the addon), Interact With Target (the keybind) and Click to Move (mouse options) are absolutely major changes in Wrath. Although I believe Jamba was around for BC era boxing too.
