Hi,
I am slowing grinding my way to 80, currently at 76 (haven't done any instances yet). I am still questing in Grizzly Hills, and found the most difficult and annoying quest (for me anyway!). This one is not boxable, as you cannot mount all five toons to the one NPC horse. I tried!
Escape from Silverbrook
http://www.wowhead.com/quest=12308
I tried this multiple times and almost gave up until I found out that finishing this quest opens up many other quests that give goodies and xp.
So I resorted to my way.
1) Get quest with one toon
2) Park four other toons near the quest destination, that is just outside the lodge
3) On questing toon, mount the npc horsey to begin the quest
4) As npc start galloping, dismount the horsey and summon your mount and follow
5) At the first river crossing, the NPC will stop.
6) Mount his horsey, so he will cross the river
7) Dismount from NPC and summon your mount
8) If you get aggro by werewolves, get out of it and 8a) chase the npc since he is on a 40% mount speed. or you can just wait
9) Switch to one of four toons
10) when NPC comes near the lodge, mount his horsey and get the credit as there won't be anymore werewolves
11) Turn in quest and get credit
12) Abandon quest for the remaining four and restart.
I hope there aren't other unboxable quest(s) in Northrend.

There are a few, but they're not until Storm Peaks / Icecrown and they almost always involve vehicles (though most vehicle quests are boxable).

Yeah I did that quest one by one fore each toon. Just didn't seem worth even trying to box really.
Luckily there aren't many and you can even skip anything too difficult with quests to spare by the end of it all.
Another one that comes to mind was the Helmet Nessingwary one where you ride the mammoth with him shooting his rifle to kill the protodrake broodmother. At least I didn't box it- or found it another situation just to do it solo for each toon.

I boxed the mammoth one. Also a lot of the vehicle ones just needs the rest of the toons within range to get credit, the OP quest is the only one I had to do for each toon.
I, too, boxed the mammoth, and wasn't even using IS at the time to do it.
One quest I had trouble boxing with - but then figured out a neat trick to do it - was the "kill a whole bunch of scarlet people using this dragon" in the DK starter zone. Basically, I'd attack and could dodge with my main character, but the followers would not dodge arrows & ballistae so they'd die.
So I just made an identical camera angle for all ( a preset where it's looking straight ahead and zoomed all the way in), set everyone to that, and then turned on full mouse and keyboard repeating - suddenly everyone moved the same way, shot the same targets, and nobody died.
I imagine some quests that seem unboxable might be doable with this method - now that I have IS and am running a team through things now I'll find out.
What I will say is that some quests are REALLY not friendly - I had to torture over 300 scarlet people to get credit for all 5 of my DK's for that one quest where you run around with hot pokers beating people to death.
Good grinding, though :)

Ok, my turn.
OP's quest. Yes, I've run that one twice now as a boxer and it is painful, true. Both times I ran it, I parked my team outside the hut where the guy is caged up and ran it one at a time. Swap window after getting each toon back to the main inn after completing. One tip I should have tried. Grab the quest and share with team. Abandon the quest only on your main, but first fly/ride back to the inn where you turn end the quest at and park them by the fence. I'll try this on my next team btw to see if it does work. Fly your main toon back to the hut/cage and re-accept the quest from the guy and run it once and the rest 'should' complete it once you make it to the end.
I didn't think about this till after my second run through on this questline, so if anyone else has tried this method, please let me know. If it don't work, then just run it one at a time, but keep your team by the cage, then use the PiP and swap out, rinse and repeat.
Kate's quests: These two I've run a few times myself. Second time I figured out a good method and requires no mouse broadcasting. The bombardment one on the dragons, just fix your camera angles for your team to all point anywhere on the ground. Then start at one safe spot out of range from the ballista, facing the people, fly low enough to the ground and spam the fire button and do drive-bys. Fly from one side to the other, just on the other side near the church, dismount from the dragons just before you go out of the flyzone, and remount, then fly back and fire away again. Don't worry about mount health, because once you do a quick fly-by from one side to the other, you won't loose enough to die. Just do that over and over till you got the 100 kills. There are ballista on the ground too, so don't focus on the towers for them.
The Hot-Poker quest can be a pain also. Tip here, Put the equip the Hot Pokers on one toon at a time, and unequip all weapons on your team till you're done. This way everyone else is fighting barehanded and is less likely to kill anyone. Once you complete it on one toon, unequip the pokers and equip on the next. You also won't cast spells that require melee weapons if they don't have them :D Took no time at all on my 4.
Horsey retrieval quest is a pain too, but doable. Just run it one at a time, but no way to bypass this one.
I have yet to quest in that zone with Hemmit, so no tips there yet, sorry. However, and this hasn't been mentioned yet. The spot outside the Nexus where you gotta burn the corpse to lore the dragon to fly you away, is not boxer friendly. If you do this quest, I suggest when it comes time to burn the bodies, you park your team right inside the doorway next to the summoning spot and do this one at a time. Once you are flown away, quickly mount up and fly back to the purple/safe zone cause you be dropped off in a hostile spot if left alone. Do not just mount and fly upwards cause there are dragons that fly right over this spot that will come down and attack. Trust me, if you're just starting this area on this quest, they can be challenging to take down. I barely managed with 4 Pallies. A Troll Priest rode by and actually helped me out here once I got it down to 40%, but they were around 74 or so, me just 70.

For the horse retrieval quest at the Westfall Brigade camp if you just park your slaves where you turn in the horse ALL will get credit!
This is another method I've used as some quest just required the slaves to be there even if they didn't participate.
Another that came to mind was that 'Blood in the Water' quest from Death's Rise where you have to use an object on a corpse. I was like ah man have to kill 50 sharks to cover everyone and almost turned it down. Then I went and tried it and everyone got credit for 1 kill so don't leave a quest before you see what it's all about.
