New 10 box this week .. first kill.

Hi guys, I know Noth is a joke, but actually I wiped a couple times due to the mana restrictions on my team, one priest is severely under geared and all my DPS are in PvP gear, etc lol.

I have just started 10 boxing, and only transferred my toons today, but I took a run head first into Naxx and got Noth down for my weekly tonight at 3am lol

I am guessing this will be easier without a 2.8k GS toon and more PvE gear on my toons, as most of them were in full pvP gear and the mana issue was horrendous lol. Also thinking about respeccing my warlock to Destro for the replenishment.

1 Holy Priest
1 Shadow Priest
2 Boomkins
1 Warlock

Downed some more content, this one a little tougher, working on movement heavy fights, and things which make boxing hard (not patchwerk :P)

Also downed Malygos 10, first time on all my toons, I think. I did him a long time ago, and used some simple macros to make this fight cake.

Noth is a joke because people outgear it. If you don't outgear the place, then it's always an achievement to do it with more than 1 toon. The fact that you do it with 10 makes it even more worth it. Gz!

I am going to put some effort into gemming, enchanting, and speccing my toons this weekend, it is a monumental task to be sure lol.

I spent 3 hours tonight gemming and re-gearing all my toons with the overflow of badges and stuff I had on the first 5 of them, and it took forever (granted I was distracted by Top Gear caravan Holiday challenge, which is simply the most hilarious thing on the internet).

I am hopeful though that my DPS and healing will increase significantly, as my shaman went from 3.8k raid DPS to 5k dummy DPS without raid buffs. we'll see how it actually affects my raid performance soon! =)

I have to devote a whole night every week to spending badges and adjusting gear on my 30 ICC toons. Not that I've set a few of them up to have solid dual-specs it takes even more time. I'm certain there are still a few things I've missed.

If your dps is high enough, and you have the right toons on the right accounts, you should try the 3 drakes burn method on sarth, if you get good at it you could even start selling black drakes ;)
Had a group in my guild 9 manning it for a while, planned to start selling drakes after we all got one, but it fell apart after everyone but me had one :S

that sounds great, but I don't have the deeps for that unfortunately >< most of my gear is still sub t9 and my highest DPS is 6k, with heroism. Once my locks get to 80 and join my team that might be possible, with the right gear =)

Would you mind posting your macros and Strat for Malygos? I have never tried him before but after seeing your success I wouldn't mind giving it a try for the achievements

Malygos was the easiest fight yet, apart from maybe the first 2 VoA bosses.

I simply DPS'd her to 60% and then got a spark, Heroism and DPS'd her in the air while she flys away, and then with hero up destroyed the two melee guys and then ran from bubble to bubble killing the flying guys, it was really simple, even with my crappy gear.

Phase 3 was the easiest though, by far as I finally made some macros:

have 8/10 toons use:


/tar malygos
/castsequence reset=target Flame Spike, Flame Spike, Engulf in Flames

and the last 2 (one in each group) use:


/tar pet
/castsequence [target=pet] Revivify, Revivify, Life Burst

You still have to move your guys left or right to avoid the aoe spark dmg, but it was only a couple times I had to move before she died.


it was VERY VERY easy once I found the macros.. I wiped on her 3 times trying to manually control the 3rd phase, but then I easily beat her with the macros in hand. I would like to have a go at the timed fight next week, with some more buffs, haste pots, flasks, etc etc.
