Hi Multiboxers,
First off I want to say what a great site chalk full of great information. I recently got back into wow and my friend showed me one youtube video and I was instantly hooked. From following all the readily available information I now have 3 sets of 4 x 60's and still have a ton of raf time to go.
Now I've gotten to the point where I am starting to want to take the sets of 60's up to 80. I've tried to find a some information on how this is best done but have only found small snippets of information in assorted threads.
I was wondering if anybody in the community could share with me their ideas on how to most efficiently go about the process of leveling fresh sets of 60's to 80. I do have a 5th account with passable to well geared 80's on it to help with the process.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!

In burning crusade i prefered a good mix between farming instances and questing from hellfire peninsula to nagrand.
When you hit the 70: http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=29381 :D
Iam 75 atm and i noticed, when you know the quests you are faster then grinding istances, even with no heirloom-shoulders or flying mount. With a lot of rested XP, instances are faster.
If you are Alliance: dont miss the first quest chains in borean tundra. At the beginning you have very rare gather quests (except in this gnome area).
What is your group composition?

Thanks for the quick reply,
I have a 4 x shaman set, 4 x pally set, and a set with a mix of 2 + 2 lock/mage set.
The 5th account that I've been taking these 4 accounts through the instances with has shaman, warrior, druid, rogue, warlock, hunter, death knight all level 80 that are passable to well geared.
I still want to make more sets of 60's so that I can mix and match composition as I haven't reached that stage yet.

You might not like to hear it...level more teams. having them at 60 is great "in Case" but also try to get to 80 with a team for all that gold :)

I leveled from 60-80 in Instances and then soloed my toons up from 70-80 solo. It took about a week for each toon from 70-80 the faster you learnt he quest lines the quicker it takes. I normally did it in rotation so i did not burn through all my rest xp. I guess heirloom items really help now also if you have access to any.

I've been doing it the hard way I guess, no RAF, no heirlooms (my previous team at 80 didn't have badges to spare, and I didn't want to spend the time farming them).
My 5xPaladin hit Hellfire at 58 as per usual. They're now just a bubble or two of 66 and just getting to Nagrand. Since you only need to hit 68 before Northrend, I expect Nagrand should do it.
Along the way they've done four instances, all cleared on their first attempt: Ramparts @ 61, Blood Furnace @ 61, Underbog @ 63 and Slave Pens @ 63.
I haven't bothered with the Terrokar Forest instances (yet anyway), since I'm so close to 66, I figure I won't need 'em and Nagrand alone should get me all the way to 68.
Again, this is without Heirlooms, so if you have those, you should be able to go 58-->68 just off Hellfire, Zangarmarsh, Terrokar and Nagrand without even a single instance. Best thing too, the zones are roughly 2/3 kill quests, so tonnes of quests to choose from and XP rates around 200kxp/hr.

Thanks guys,
Yes Alcattle it will be a long road but ultimately I would like to have all my teams sitting at 80. From what I gathered from the thread I was directed it seems like I will indeed need to run quests from 70-80, but can boost from in instances still from 60-70.
One thing about questing about leveling from 70-80, can I also do that as a team but skip all the collection quests?

Three problems with that in my opinion.
1. Northrend is made up of so many very very long quest chains. Skip an opening collection quest and you could be skipping a dozen follow-ons.
2. Some quest chains open up phased areas etc, which you'll need later on for chants and such.
3. Blizzard annoyingly made most quests in Northrend collection rather than kill, and stupidly made all but one of them (one in Borrean Tundra) single drop rather than group drop (ironic that an MMO penalises group-leveling).
My current team is 2 levels off Northrend now, and if there's a faster way to level beyond just sucking it up and wading through mountains of boring collection quests, I'm all ears.

Thanks for the insight Oz.
Anytime.
Hopefully, someone else will have a viable alternative. The last time I leveled 68-80, I stopped playing WoW for a couple of months I was so bored with the quests. That won't happen this time, but still, it's a measure of how mind-numbing it can be having to collect 75 Ears for example, just after you collected 60 Shields and realise you've spent 2 hours doing 2 quests.

Indeed, in Northrend you have very long questchains. But some collection quests are negligible.
I assume you wont use wowhead all the time to find out if that collection quest have a long quest chain and its worth to do it.
So you have to appraise, if a quest is part of a big story or is it just a "Collect 20 fish, cuz iam hungry".
I skipped all collection quest which seems to be unimportant or important quests with more then 15 items.
A substitution for skipped collection quests are instanceruns.
Dont forget to do the daily quests. I am 75 atm and i do 5 daily quests per day.
PS: For essential boring quests say following to you: "I will take hours, it will be shitty, but i will do it via the relaxed way". Watch TV or Movies, do phonecalls per skype.

I am in NR now with my 5xpally team. I do collection quests. Why? Because they open chains of other quest that can be done very very quickly. IMO so far it has been an even game. I mean to say that all the time put into collection quests go away after you do the follow on chain of quests in 15 minutes. Last night I did a collection quest that led to 4 more other quests that were done very quickly. The collection quest took me 31 minutes to do and the 4 follow up quests took me 12 mins. So about 45 min for 5 quests. I also do them for the trash loot. My pallys leveled from 68-72 have collected 12000 gold so far. IMO its worth doing the collection quests. There are however the the really bad ones that I will skip and only if it doesn't lead to a quest chain. Also I do the dailies that I open up to make up for the collection quests I decided not to do. Dailies are also very fast and provide gold and xp. I will say that a 5xpally team is very easy to run and they move very fast this has made leveling easier. My original team, a mix team was much harder to level through NR. I do now think that group composition plays a role in leveling speed.

I leveled 4 mixed teams to 80 by questing as horde.
I recently leveled 2 mixed teams to 80 by questing as alliance.
It is amazing how many more collection quests there are for horde. Leveling 68-80 as a boxer is 15% or so faster as alliance than horde just based on the difference in collection quests. With the number of hours invested, 15% is a lot of time.
But yeah, push to 74, then do all the Griz Hills dailies every day - big help.

Thanks guy for sharing your experiences and providing me with all this great information.
Its a nice to know that many of you have already done what I'm about to do, it just makes it seem a whole lot easier for me psychology, and in practice as well with all the tips.
I've been taking my pally set through the bc dungeons now far cry from when it was all raf'd but moving along at a decent pace.

For me personally I got fed up with doing quests at around 74. Stopped playing on my team for a month, and leveled my main using the random dungeon tool. I had so much fun he dinged 80 soon after.
So I haven't done all the quests in WTLK. Currently i'm leveling my team through the random dungeon tool to gear them up and to gain some exp in the instance running. At some point I might go back to doing the quests but atm i'm tired of doing quests.
I did the wrathgate quest chain because I read it was one of the most epic questchains in wow to date.
After doing this quest chain I have to agree.
