Instant Cast, targeted, 30 yard range, 1 minute cooldown
"You summon a beam of solar light over the target enemies location, disorienting all enemy targets under the beam for 3 seconds and silencing all enemy targets under the beam while it is active. Solar Beam lasts for 10 seconds."

But in all seriousness, this is amazing. Diminishing returns what? You could setup a focused round robin key with 4x Druids so that as soon as their healer came out of it he gets hit by another one--It's targeted, not GROUND targeted. Or, alternate Solar Beam with Cyclone.

Imagine what a BG is going to be like with 4x Druids and a healer. Not only will you be able to completely violate people with your ridiculous damage but their casters (offensive and defensive) will be silenced and/or disoriented while you're doing it. What, you got rooted in my SOLAR BEAM OF DEATH? No Frostbolt for you!

This seems like an interesting spell, I'm assuming that only the intial hit of the beam will cause the 3 second disorient effect but the fact that it sticks on the target and moves with them is pretty cool. Also curious as to what the radius of the beams AOE will be, even if it's a mere 5yards that could even prove pretty handy as a defensive anti-multimelee tool for multibox caster groups.

I believe the way that it functions is:

You target a player and SOLAR BEAM their face. The beam AE is centered on where that player was and remains centered there. So as a player (hopefully snared) is trying to run out of your SOLAR BEAM no cast zone you can hit them with another, and another, and another...

I get all tingly thinking about it.

yeah it will not move with them. it will stay on the spot they were, if it moves with them, we are all dead in the water and should all cancel our accounts right now.

This is a very bad change for us btw, yes fun if you are running druids, but on our shamans this is going to suck badly.

Depending on the radius of the stationary effect... and the area in which you Starfall, there might not be a lot of safe places to stand.

Another toy is definitely nice.

I think this is going to be much more than a "toy". I think this ability is going to make or break this team as a viable 4 or 5 boxed setup. Assuming even a conservative 5 yard radius on the SOLAR BEAM, with 4x you could CC a caster for over 10 seconds and there's *nothing* they can do about it.

What about the knockdown ability that I see nestled in the talent tree...

Weave that sucker into a spell rotation and every few casts your target gets knocked on their buttookus!!

Aye. Heaven forbid you can keep them knocked down/rooted/snared in the beam.

Druids are the wave of the future for boxers imo~.

Just think 1 druid is going to fuck your whole team. I see warlock stun into this *beam* and all 4-5 of your chars die almost instantly. It sounds kewl to have 4 of something so nice but we stand in a group 95% of the time one of these things landed on us with a cc rotation and your done plain and simple.
