According to my good friend (he works for blizzard) i'll be getting an invite on thursday if he can get another as he already got one for his brother. He told me there is only going to be about 500 alpha invites given out. If i do get it as i was told then i obviously won't break the NDA about content but i won't hide that i'm participating =D Things look good though. I have far too much to do on live to actually play much alpha though even if/when that happens.

Well, I humbly offer myself up as a sacrifice to the rapacious needs of Blizzard - if any Blizz employees who can get an F&F invite want a reasonably geeky wife who loves video games, hit me up.

I keed, I keed! Besides, knowing my luck I'd wind up with someone who does in-game support and he'd come home and scream at me about the people he has to deal with.

My roommates co-worker, a guy named John has a friend's and family account.
Not sure if he's in the alpha/beta yet, for warcraft.
He was among the first batch of people with SC2 beta.

John hasn't really passed anything along, besides its started at whatever time.
He let us know when the employee only alpha stage began for Cataclysm.

The roommate knows a F&F person, but does not know the Blizzard employee so that doesn't count for much.

The test realm is dead... and there's really nothing to do right now lol. Other than run around and look at shit. I had to agree to the NDA before being able to download the client. So no SS/Streams to be had :( sorry guys.

Looking at the screens that are available I`d say there are no quests, npc or mobs in the game right? Just the zones.

If you're referring to the MMOC screenshots, those are likely from a sandboxed private server which is why you don't see NPCs or anything other than the world.
