hiyas... I bought Inner Space last night .. ..

last night i bought a years subscription to IS ... I have hardware boxed for over a decade and thought I might try to to cut down on a lot of the PCs im using ...

my problem is this ....

I am fairly intelligent albeit not very good a PCs and software at all ... anywoo i bought this last night and cannot for the life of me get it working properly ... ( at all )

I watched all the videos and read the guides ... I am playing LOTRO not WoW but shouldnt make a difference ...

did anyone else have a monumental epic fail when they first bought IS and tried to software box ...???

or am i just that old and dense when it comes to software ???

i finally gave up around 5AM sunday this morning after hours of trying to get it to work ...

please tell me everyone struggles with it at first or something to make me feel better heh ... at this point i wish i could pay someone 500 dollars to come set this dam thing up for me heh

i shouldnt say it doesnt work ....

but when launched it loads up two small sessions in individual windowed mode in center of screen .. can log into them but all i can do is move the sessions around the screen and they are not linked ... i assumed by video when it loaded up all the boxes came up nice and neat in the order you selected and were locked in ... buit basicall even at the way it loads them up .. its unplayable as they is no repeater functionality

I believe you need to use the "developmental build" for Lord of the Rings.
I know a lot of people use it for LotRO, but I'm a wow player so not your best resource.

If you go to www.isboxer.com, there are forums there specifically for this software.

Also, you can enter the IRC there, and get much faster response then from here.
I know Creo plays LotRO a ton and is knowledgeable of IS Boxer in regards to LotRO.
And Lax is great for ISBoxer, and all games.
Not everyone in the IRC is necessarily watching it, so ask a question and wait a bit for a response.

If you're not on the development build of IS, the game is in Direct3D9 mode, or the turbine download manager is enabled, it will not work correctly. If it is working correctly, when the game window is up you should see an FPS indicator in the upper left corner (for example "FPS: 30"). If you don't see that, it's PROBABLY one of those three things.

I have the download develpmental patches checked ... i have v1.09 build 5124

I have the directx 10 box unchecked in game as well as fullscreen unchecked

I changed that one thing in the ini file from true to false as well .. i think thats working becuase i can load up several copies of the game in windowed mode but it has nothing to do with innerspace

now the TDM ... im not sure on that ... i actually do not think i have TDM but i do not know how to check if i do or disbale it if i do ... so maybe thats what im stuck on now ... if its not that then im at a loss ( but i REALLY do not think i have this )

anywoo im still plowing along trying to get this thing working ... i can only stand about an hour at a time trying to get it working now befire i need a break heh ,,, i just feel if i could get to point that even the wizard let me just luanch the game properly i could figure all the hotkeying stuff out

NM someone that uses innerspace with lotro emailed me and said i needed to go into properties on both IS and boxer and set them to run as admin .. i am now getting them to load up properly .. albeit the machine i have now cannot handle them .. i now feel comfortable buying a machine that can .... thanks for all the help .. getting it running .. although im sure ill have a ton more questions once i get into the goodies of the software :)
