What s the difference between the CPU and the microprocessor chip? are the CPU and the Micro processor same thing with different name? or they do different jobs ?

All microprocessors have CPU's in them. They might have other stuffs like DMA or Memory and someday a GPU I suppose.
A micropocessor is a single chip. The cpu is the part of that chip that handels the instruction set. Chips have more parts then the CPU (central processing unit).
