I have rewritten Jamba-Proc to work better. It comes with Jamba-0.5g. Please try it out and let me know how it goes for you.

Get Jamba-0.5g here

http://wow.jafula.com/

What it does.

When a proc is detected, it displays a bar on your screen that counts down the duration of the proc. The bar displays the name of the toon the proc belongs to, the display text for the proc (you specify) and the time left of the proc.

It shows procs for all toons in your team on the one screen.

Procs tested: Art of War, Hot Streak.

Procs loaded and should work: Missile Barrage, Fireball! (Brain Freeze), Clearcasting (Mage, Shaman, Druid), Maelstrom Weapon, Elune's Wrath, Shadow Trance (Nightfall), Freezing Fog (Rime), Infusion of Light, Lock and Load, Eclipse (Solar) and Eclipse (Lunar).

What it does not do.

I haven't worked out a way to deal with things like warrior revenge, overpower, etc.

Add your own procs.

Get the spell id and duration of the proc from wowhead. Add a new proc by clicking add, entering the spell ID, clicking ok, set the duration (from wowhead), set a tag, set a colour, set a sound (choose none for silence) and click Save.

Got two of the same class?

Add a new proc (see above) but change the tags so that one refers to the first toon and the other refers to the second toon. Change the colour and the sound so they are different for each tag, this way you can easily tell which toon procced.

You can customize it too.

/jamba-proc, scroll down to the option "Show Test Bars" and click it. You can change where the bars show by holding ALT and left dragging the top bar. You change the bar texture, font, font size, width and height.

Procs get their own colour.

Choose a colour for the proc.

Procs get their own sound.

You can set up a proc to play a sound when it occurs.

It looks like this.

http://wow.jafula.com/images/extforums/jambaproctake2.png

Let me know what you think. I'd love to know if the other procs work, any screenshots of it in action would be cool to see.

Nice :D Thanks a lot for continuing the hard work on this module ! Very much appreciated. I will test it tonight and will let you know how it's going for me :)

Is it possible to move the bars on the screen ? Never figured out how to do this in previous versions of jamba .

In previous versions, you could not move the bars, but you can in this version. The easiest way is

/jamba-proc

Scroll down to the check box "Show Test Bars"

Now you hold ALT can left drag the top bar around the screen.

Uncheck "Show Test Bars" to remove the test bars.

Hope that helps.

Not sure, I might need to add some code to make them work. It depends on how the combat log reports the procs.

If you can find a proc that doesn't work post the wowhead spell link and I will see what I can do.

For instance the wowhead link for Elune's Wrath is:

http://www.wowhead.com/spell=64823

Omg thank you for this jafula!!! One thing I'd like to see if possible, can you make the bars rotatateable? I have slim space in my ui and would love to see the countdown style instead of the count over style :)!

Love ur addonz! <3

Just released Jamba-0.5h with a few updates.

Gankstah: Can you try Elune's Wrath? Just install Jamba-0.5h and make sure Jamba-Proc is enabled in your addons. When Elune's Wrath procs, you should get a bar up on your screen.

I haven't logged in my 2xdruids team yet but I can already tell clearcasting works like a charm. I'll edit my post to add screenshot later. It's funny I've now realized that both my 2 shamans often proc this buff exactly at the same time :P

edit : here is a screenshot of the proc bars in action (shaman's cleacasting, French version) :

Is there a way you can set the proc alert to say something like Fireball! press 4! ?

Yep, edit the proc and change the display text, here's how:

/jamba-proc

Click on 57761 Fireball! in the proc list.

Change the Display Text from "Fireball!" to "Fireball! Press 4!"

Scroll down a bit to show the save button.

Click Save.

Before you click save you can also select a sound and change the colour of the bar if you wish.

What do you mean by rotatable? Do you meant to show the bars vertically rather than horizontally?

yea i'd like the option to show them vertically :D since i really only have a couple procs to manage from the teams i play, the spell icon is great, i'd just trash the names and label them 1 2 3 4 or 5 and hvae them vertical. either counting up, or counting down so to speak :D

I just saw this post and updated through Curse now that it's available through there, but is it possible to break up the proc bars and place them next to each corresponding toon? I use X-Perl and would like to be able to monitor this by having it next to each toon's own bar, or since I run 4 windows on one screen, placing them under/next to their own windows on my main.

Not at the moment. I'd have to build x different anchor spots where x is the number of toons you are running (up to 5 I guess). Then I think I would tag each anchor spot, so you could tag your toons appropriately and any toons that had a tag that an anchor spot tag would get that proc bar. That could be doable. It adds to the complexity of the addon. Let me think about it...

I had the opportunity to bring my hunter at the last minute to the weekly raid yesterday (it resets on Wednesday in Europe) and although I didn't take the time to configure Jamba for that character I had the good surprise to see that Lock'n Load was perfectly managed. The bar always was accurate and changed accordingly when the buff was prematurely removed. It helped me a lot to improve my dps :D I hadn't the presence of mind to take a screenshot though.

One thing i've noticed : If you try to change the size of the bar (in the settings screen) by directly typing a number in the field instead of moving the slider, that doesn't work. Not sure the intent was to have this field as feedback only or to allow to enter stuff directly there. I suppose the latter since the field is enterable.

Wow Jafula.

I was actually just thinking about something like this. I love the innervate tracking, and was thinking it would be nice to be able to add Starfall + Forces of nature watch etc.

I will definitely use this!

During the weekend I tried addint both starfall and Force of Nature.

I picked up the spell ID from wowhead.com and Jamba found the name itself as I recall. I had some issues setting the proc time since it reverted back to the default again and again.

When I used the spell on my toons it diden't pickup the "proc" even though its not a proc. I wanted to use the proc module to monitor the cooldown of those two spells.

I have a similar for Innervate in one of my addons which shows me a bar like Jamba.

Ok, two things.

1. If you make a change to a proc, you need to click the save button (its hidden, scroll down). [If you are clicking the save button and the duration is not being saved, please say so].

2. Its only setup to look for procs. I would have to add some code to make it look for cooldowns...

Yes, I did save :)

I would love to be able to add "normal" spells into the proc modul - but it's not vital. And I guess thats why it diden't work as it "only" manages procs.

I saw another thread about the bug where the panels diden't go away, I had that to. Reloaded UI and it solved the problem. I was also having trouble "passing" proc setting to my other clients. I could see it never got passed in the /jamba channel. I diden't investigate it further.

Hi,

I tried to add the Serenity proc on my priest, but it doesn't show.

With the spell id from wowhead it found the proc, (serenity3) but it is never displayed as a bar.
(yes I saved it :)

(Healbot does show it, so I know it procs.)

any thoughts ?

I am assuming you mean Serendipity... when you mention serenity3, I think you have added the actual spell (rank 3), rather than the proc spell which is below:

http://www.wowhead.com/spell=63734

Try that one (its duration is 20seconds), remember to click save after changing values.

Please let me know if this works, because if it doesn't I'll need to see what is going on.

Thanks for the info about the settings being passed to other clients. I'll look into the UI problems with saving proc information.

I'll have a think about cooldowns. It might be nice to associate a cooldown with a proc, like associating Exorcism's cooldown with the Art of War proc for paladins...

erm indeed I stand corrected. I meant Serendipity3.
I indeed got it of WOWhead, filled in the code, got the name automatically checked duration = 20 sec. save, push to all.

Did not proc once. jamba-proc does work though I see clearcasting from shammy, and arcane procs from arcane mage.

Will check it out tonight again. (maybe also try with the serendipity 1 and 2 proc .

Serendipity 1 ( 4% haste ) http://www.wowhead.com/spell=63731
Serendipity 2 (8% haste ) http://www.wowhead.com/spell=63735

I just tried to make http://www.wowhead.com/spell=63734 show on my level 80 holy priest alone (no team) but no success either, and nothing better with the couple more proc (surge of light (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=33151) and inspiration (http://www.wowhead.com/spell=33151)) I tried next.

There indeed seems to be something broken ;)

I'm going to check if I can find another proc to test on another character but they all seem to be already included in the default configuration (so far these procs all seem to be detected and the bar is correctly shown)

Hey Jafula,

Thanks again for another great addition.

Question: Would it be possible to modify maelstrom to pop up only upon reaching a certain amount of stacks? Id just like it to show up when the shaman has 5 then I can react.

Just a thought,

Thanks.

How do I get the proc not to display? I've uncheaked procs, unchecked display only on master etc, even backsp[acdfed over the text. 4-5 clearcasting bars popping up in the middle of my screen is annoying.

Still trying to figure things out on this addon, has some really nice features though. (Alot I have no idea what they do;)

Edit: Actually, it seems to have on it's own added enable procs back onto slaves, but remained disabled on master's.....idk

You can turn off Jamba-Proc in the addons configuration screen.

Seems strange the procs are coming back, but it might be due to the way I am using the ace library to store the initial procs.

I will have a look at the issues reported and see if I can come up a with some fixes.

Yeah, did that from the load in screen. Thought I was doing something wrong. I just downloaded it last night so I'm still trying to figure somethings out w/ it but so far just the merchant selling greys and taxi is great. I'm sure I'll have some specific questions w/ it soon enough, I'm kind of dense sometimes, but I'll make a thread for that.

This was a prolem with the AceGUI slide control I use. They recently fixed this bug, so I have added the fixed library into Jamba. Next Jamba release, the number in slider box should actually update the slider and remember the value.

Bah! I've been a noob, it turns out that any proc spell you enter manually doesn't work. Something to do with lua comparing a number to a string and deciding that they are different! Boo! Fixed for next release.

Edit: Serendipity, Surge of Light and Inspiration all work. Woot!
