Ok so i'm pretty new to this multiboxing thing. I'm not rly planning on getting seriously into it.

basically, I recruited myself for RAF and am on the 10-day free trial.

I've managed to level to about 15 so far, with just using windowed mode and switching back and forth.

Then I got to thinking, I've seen people with 5 toons with all same gear and similar names, following one person with same gear and similar name, like exact clones.

I'm rly clueless about this stuff, I just want to know how to play one character, while the other stays on auto follow, casting attacks at whoever i attack, and maybe even healing me (if possible).

I dont know if that is how it works but someone please point me in the right direction.

I've been surfing the forums here and i really cant wrap my head around what I actually need to do.

Thanks for your help!

I'll recommend IS Boxer.
It's $36 per year, as a subscription.
But really any of the software options is an enormous step up from clicking between windows.
Other options include: http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=24992

Most of us have multiple toons, rely on follow for the slave movement and have some form of assist.
The easiest is a Focus based approach, where the lead toon is everyone's focus, and everyone follows or casts at the target of the focus.
An FTL (Focus-free, Target-free, Leader-independent) system is harder to set up, but preferred especially for PvP play.

Depending on your goals in wow, particularly PvE, PvP or Both, some classes are generally better then others.
But if a given combination is fun, then go with that, as fun should be the deciding factor in what you play.

Have you read that? None of the links in that sticky work anymore. :)

As for back on topic....

ISBoxer FTW

Maybe also check out my new sexy video even though you seem to understand the basics of RaF and linking.

I have actually! Checked it before I posted! And as for the questions the op asked of "umm, what is multiboxing and how do I do it?" - the sticky still answers those, even if the in-depth questions require a search or two ;-)
