Nice, I'm claiming mine today. I have a question that I've not been able to answer elsewhere...can this mount be used in places where only land mounts can be used?

However, I found a nice little tidbit today.


You know that well in Dalaran? Well, Fly straight down into it. You'll appear in the sewers still mounted and you can fly around and exit from the opposite side and fly out and do it again!



ALSO - BIG TIP.


If you are flying over Dalaran with a passenger and the no-fly zone kicks you off your mount, you will get a parachute while your passenger will not!

I found out the hard way and my slave died. However, it could make for some entertaining rocket rides :)

Aw poo. I was hoping that it would work in the old world. I wanted a multiple people mount to transport people around.

Thanks all, yeah these mounts are pretty sweet, though I do wish they acted as ground mounts as well. For those that are curious about what happens if your passenger is phased differently then the driver, the passenger stays on the mount until you boot him off or he ejects. When phased differently, sometimes the passenger will appear to vanish from the drivers point of view and his position on the map will stick at the phase line, but the passenger indeed remains mounted. I played around with this quite a bit, as my team is all phased differently all over the place. So far from my experience, the passengers point of view always remains normal but the drivers can be wonky

I guess it's the same as when on a mammoth then, but still cool to know!

It seems they are kinda ground mount also, if you go to the ground your speed drops to ground speed (and in water to water speed), Mine is 450 or so in air and 240 on ground (with Pal Aura). You kinda get stuck on teh ground and can't just fly stright up you kinda have to wait until you get no ground directly under you.

If you press your jump button you'll be back in the air Sam.

Also another trick that'll annoy peeps......just afk in the air.

Kicking someone from the group will not force them off the mount - logging out will also have them die as the mount disapears.

Im kinda sad I had 2 RAFs that I never redeemed the mounts for. I finally got around to doing it and a week later they announced the rocket eff these Zebras !

Ditto, I did the same crap...

They also won't let you trade your Zhevra either. Just check out the customer service forums they've already laid down the law on that.
