I am going to use a three class setup. I am thinking of having a paladin, a druid and a mage. The paladin will tank, the druid will heal my reason for why druid is because i hear that druids are low threat and with the other too i have a leather a cloth and a plate so theres not fights for loot, my mage is going to be fire spec damage. I think that this group seems to compliment itself very well and all three will be able to buff the others. i would greatly appreciate any comments on this build. Some of the alternates i was thinking about was another druid instead of the paladin or a warlock instead of the mage. Do you think this group will be able to get through instances? What do you think of this in general (constructive criticism? please help

Personally, I'm going to be setting up a 5box Pally tank, frost mage, 2 dstr. warlocks, and a druid healer.

I picked the healer for the same reason as you, along with the fact t it's HoT heavy, for presumably less to do?

Pally's a good idea due to good aoe tanking, and it's not very difficult to hold aggro if you're FFing (and you better be.. lol)

I'd go frost w/ the mage, personally, as it's better for the snares.. don't wanna have to chase down runners...

anyways, i haven't even tried it yet, just what i've been pickin up off the forums.

good luck!

joe i would go with a shaman instead of a druid... they wear leather too but go up to mail when the pali goes up to plate so no problem there... you get good heals and totems... but at lvl 30 your shaman gets reincarnation so it can rez itself and rez ur other chars that way you will rarely need a corpse run:]

you make good points.
I will have to consider a shammy healer.

In the long run: Druids are great because they're designed to stack HoTs on a tank that's constantly taking damage. This is EXCELLENT with a prot pally who needs constant healing in order to get mana.

Shaman are also acceptable healers due to their totem buffs (which all have synergy with paladins). Their single target heals aren't great, but chain heal more than makes up for it.

Considering that you already have a paladin in this group (DI for wipe protection and a hard rez), there's no downside to choosing a druid over a shaman. So I'd say pick whatever class you find most interesting. If I were in your position, I'd pick druid due to the instant-cast hots and considering that a shaman's Earth Shield in the resto tree does not give a prot paladin any mana (since it counts as the paladin healing himself).

Anyway, with 3 characters you'll find instancing is hard, but not impossible if you outlevel the instance a bit. However, with a tank and a healer you'll probably find alot of friends who wouldn't mind filling in those last 2 dps spots. ;)
