When multi-boxing, how many keys do you really find you end up using?

With the caveat that I have not leveled a team past 40 yet, I'm find I pretty much run this:

"Pull" key = Tank opener, plus any class specific/encounter prep (i.e. totems).
"Taunt" key= in case aggro slips from the tank, uses a modifier to switch between single target and group.
"DPS" key= This where the /click macro's reside for each class, as well as the general aggro spam for the tank.
"Interrupt" key= I have my interrupts on a round robin.
"Crowd Control" key= modified key sets focus in round robin, main key casts CC spell at focus then target=lasttarget
"Random Other" key= depending upon the team, I may have one other ability like tremor totem on a hot key.

That's just about it. I have the ability to move slaves independently, and some out of combat keys, and repeater regions for healing. That's about it. Outside an instance, all I really use is the first two or three.

How about you?

1 for standard dps
2 for movement dps
3 for just tank

that's about it during combat really. I tend to swap 2 with situational fights

I am just reworking mine now to include a few more things but will likely look like this

` - IWT tank + DPS
1 - Tank + Heals macro
2 - DPS macos
3 - Tank macros
4 - Target
5 - Misdirect to tank
6 - Bloodlust
7 - Survival (Deterrence, Antimagic shell, shaman drop earth ele)
8 - Drop Fire ele
9 - AoE from hunters
0 -
- -
= -

F1 Follow strobe on tank
F7 drop standard totems
F8 totemic recall
Alt+1 = Aspect of the hawk
Alt+2 = Aspect of the viper
Q = Turn off follow strobe and move all DPS and healer back (So they break follow, I find it needs spamming 2-5 times to properly turn off follow strobing)

Numpad - Heals (I have a razor naga now, so a lot of healing can be done from my mouse using my numpad config. A few buttons are hard to hit but 1-6 work very well, 7-9 are a bit harder and my hands are just too damn big for 10-12 to work very well)

I think thats about it for combat based stuff. Movement for tank is done via mouse and WASD, DPS strafe with the left and right arrow keys.

At least your not using Alt with your F keys, had a guy in our guild do that :P

I suppose I use "T" for lifetap on the warlocks.
And Alt+1 for Soul Drain, on the warlock team too.
But those keys aren't used for other teams.

The Alt F4 thing is kind of funny.
I remember a guy using Alt F1 through Alt F5 for PiP swaps, and posting about his Keyclone swap error, a while back.

*edit*
Jimbobobb reminded me...

I have the arrow keys for independent slave movement.
So four more keys... )

Runninh an All-Paladin team I can see, especially once I merge my DPS keys into a single /castsequence I'll be using very few keys indeed. They're only 30 now, so I'll do that once I actually have more than a couple of DPS keys to use... hehe.

I have a lot of wierd situational keys, but honestly I only ever press 2:

1 dps/tank/heal key for everyone

1 wg/drop totems/use long cooldowns key

I spam both of these non-stop, and that's actually it.

Actually I lied. I have a follow key, and movement keys.

Wow! Some of you guys have so few.. I'm jealous. I think I'm going to just suck it up and sit down one weekend put my keys on diet mode..

I usually run with DK + 3 Shams + Healer (pally/sham).. Rune management and RS sucks. I have about 6 for DK and 4 for Ele DPS. I have 6-7 for Heals. Excluding formation, modifiers, etc..

all told i use 48 keys on my gamepad, another 11 on my mouse, another 13 keys on my keyboard. Like everyone else is saying I obviously don't use them all in the same situations. But that's what I have bound - 72 keys and I bet I use all of them at least once per online session.

Numpad 1-9,*,/,-,+

I remove the numpad on keyboard for more room and have 8 macro keys on the keyboard for out of the way useful stuff that I dont need right away in pvp. Mounts, drinking etc. Only time I ever use my keyboard for anything is when I have to type/talk.
