Is anyone currently using ISBoxer on 5 or more PC's?
Can you describe the functionality you are getting with your setup?
Are you using FTL?

My Project:
I am in the middle of jumping back into Multiboxing.
I have five nice, dedicated PC's for gaming.
I had a pretty good setup with HotkeyNet with a Paladin, Priest, 3xMages team.
I am preparing a 5xPaladin Team.
One of the things I hated about my last setup is that is was Target based.
I want this new team to be FTL - have always struggled taking over for the main when my tank went down.
I picked up Innerspace and ISBoxer.
Wondering if I made a good choice for tools.

Unless someone's come up with an entirely new way to run Windows, there is no such thing as FTL across multiple PCs. All current FTL setups just swap clients from background/small to foreground/large on the same desktop. You can't swap a client from PC to PC on the fly.

[edit] Caveat emptor: Specialized VM's, hardware witchery, blah blah GTFO.

Well Ill have it "set up" but not using but I doubt Ill be much help, the way I do it is to hardware from one keyboard and one mouse to 6 computers, and then have ISboxer to link the 7 characters/accounts on each computer to each other (i.e. I shut off all the computer to computer communication). So I am hardware to each computer and software between accounts.

I just figure I be a bit faster then the other guy by not haveing computer to computer software running.

I am sure though IsBoxer is yur best bet if you own 5 computers.

The only other who runs 5 or more computers I belive is prepared but he dosnt post much.

I also dont use FTL (just focus on paly and then if paly die focus on DK and if DK die just wipe and rez lol). I mean dont you want the oppenet to attack yur tank ....

I belive that IsBoxer does allow ftl over computers because it does set up computer - computer connections on so and so ports (I shut them off so I know they are there). iirc.

True, that would be some advanced Hardware Witchery, Probably at least Master/Grand Master level stuff.

The FTL setup I am looking at doesn't move the clients from one PC to the other. They stay in place. The Leader moves to the character on another PC. The keyboard/mouse focus moves with it. So you would operate the Master from that other PC's monitor.

I feel like I am so close to understanding how to do this, but still coming up short.

Looking for Hardware Witch 375+ paying good tips.

Oh, I see what you're after. You don't need the client window switching component. As for whether ISBoxer supports FTL keybind to optionally switch kb/mouse to another PC when the FTL lead changes is a question for someone else. I presume you've looked through the keybinding/FTL options in ISB?

I've looked ....deeply... http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=29536

I am really hoping somebody else has already figured this out. <-- this might indicate I am lazy.

I've been using Input Director to transition control of the mouse/keyboard to other PCs for a while. I really like it. Has worked much better for me than Synergy did. I don't really need ISBoxer for that. Just praying that I can work out FTL.

Of course, praying for a Focusless, Targetless Leader system seems contrary to prayer. Meh. Can't hurt. What do I have to lose?

you start inerspace itself and go to config then "uplink networking" and name it then check the "inable connections on port 10101" box and I guess the default is 10101 ...

Then in Isboxer you go to "computers" and put in the above informations and then your character sets can be defined by computer in the "computer to launch on" thing.

At that point I dont see why the default FTL stuff wont work as you have your computers communicating accross all your character sets .....

I slide the mouse up to the Priest's Computer screen (Using Input Director)
Hit (Ctrl+Shift+F12) to set priest as Jamba Master

Code:
/jamba-team iammaster all
The Jamba Team display pops up on the Priest and closes out on the Paladin.
Within Jamba, the Priest is set to Master and all others are set to Slave.

My wild guess would be that you need to push this infos to all the computers; I have no idea if jamba-team auto updates all computers when you change masters; most of the time in jambe you have to push infos to everyoene. But really I dont know lol ....

This sounds like WAY more than I am trying to do with my setup -- and sounds like THAT setup would be horribly hard to control. Way above my skill level.

Ya speed is important to a fledeling pvper ....

/follow [nomod]player;[nomod:alt,mod:lshift,nomod:ctrl]Paladin;[nomod:alt,mod:lshift,mod:lctrl]Priest;[mod:lalt,mod:lshift,nomod:ctrl]Mage1;[nomod:alt,nomod:shift,mod:lctrl]Mage2;[mod:lalt,nomod:shift,nomod:ctrl]Mage3

If that is proper then its nothing to do with IS, if you run that macro without isboxer or jamba loaded and it works correctly (Im not into all the mod keys stuffs) then I would look to jamba auto strob follow as your error point.

I use 5 dedicated pc's for pve @ pvp but the only boxing software i use is keyclone and jamba
It's very simple yet sometimes very hard, if my main dies i quickly check who is up and target with main then tell all slaves to focus that target as i'm switching to them via KVM then i have full physical control of the master and on we go rinse and repeat etc granted this is not the best/ fastest way to do it and you need to no your toons names position in group with relation to your kvm
This way to do it i would say isnt the best for a die hard pvp player as its just not fast enough and takes a hell of alot of consentration to get it right each time but it works it just takes some fiddling

Oh wow, Lax got me up and running for now. Took some manual tweaking so that the slaves could communicate with each other.

If you have not tried this setup, it's pretty sweet.
