Fishing on two or more accounts at same time..
Is it possible to multi-box fishing? anybody tried?
Seems to me that clicking the bobber on multiple screen would be a bitch.. as you wont hear the sounds etc.

Strange I just discussed that topic with a friend today. Yes I do that on almost a daily basis. I just had to set up a different "fishing" key for each character and I was done. I park my 2 characters side by side and start fishing. Since I can see the two floats on my main screen, it's easy enough to tell which one has caught something when i hear the sound. I guess it might become a pretty difficult game if you try to fish with 3 or more characters at the same because a new fish will be caught every 2 seconds or so :P Using 2 accounts it's quite easy.

While you can fish side by side using single mouse clicks on each client, you cannot "multibox" fishing effectively the way you can spells, where you press a button and all 2-5 perform the action at once.

I used to do the fishing dailies on all 5 of my fishers. It's pretty easy, you just sorta watch for what bobber goes off and click on it - then watch the others. Once the timer is up just use your macro to cast your line on all guys again. I usually could get an average of 3 catches per cast. So it's 3x as fast as a single guy.

I'd imagine if you disabled Click To Move, you could just turn mouse broadcasting on.
Apply the Lure to the fishing rod, by having it (or the hotkey) in the same place on each toon.
Have everyone cast their lines on a single keystroke.
And then just watch for the bobber and click whichever one moves.
Kind of like whack the mole, except click the bobber.
Wow fishing is boring for me.
I've got a maximum skill fisher, primarily because I was leveling cooking.
But you can make decent gold on fishing, and 5x is probably more then decent.

IS Boxer Specific comments;
So perhaps have all normal boxer stuff off, have mouse broacasting on whole of screen ensure all screen run a same res, and then as you say use one button to cast, then just use the primary screen to click the bobbers lol.. damn bet that would be pretty hectic with 5 accounts lol.
i might try this i use alot of buff food boxing, and also fish on my server are worth quite a bit. top end fish go for around 1.5g each.
So some rough math,
5 fisherman, 5 fish every roughyl every 20 seconds (assuming perfect catch rate)
thats 15 fish every minute, and 900 fish an hour lol. so at an average of 1.3g per fish (depending on server) thats 1170g an hour lol.

Well the CTM off, would not matter which software you are using.
You'll not want the toon to run into the water.
Also, you could run a free HKN script for the mouse broadcasting.
But I'm speaking from the point of view of real time accurate mouse broadcasting on each client.
So pretty much ISBoxer of HKN, as far as I can tell.
There might be others out there that are accurate and usable in real time too.
Which fish are worth 1.3g each?
I've always done fishing in Wailing Caverns for the Deviate fish which make the Deviate Delight.

I did some fishing x5 just clicking around the windows manually and could get all 5 quite a few times having cast all 5 at the same time.
After you /cast fish there are only two different points in time at which the bobber will splash, so I usually got 2 of them on one of the times and 3 on the other, which made it manageable to get them all in time, but it got harder if 4 or 5 got the same timeframe.
I figure using an addon to make you recast fishing by rightclicking (or double) after you click the bobber on each one, you could have them not be synced so it would be a lot more manageable and more like whack a mole or even a nearly set sequence.
But yeah, got my 5 shamans to (at least) 150 fishing in one sitting once, haven't tried it since though since dailies make just as much money and doesn't depend on prices. And I hardly have time to even do dailies personally anyway.

Fishing on 5 at once, would be an interesting short video on the power of mouse broadcasting and boxing in general.
But its probably not worth the time and effort, compared to what we can do as boxers. Plus as a commodity, the more we farm it, the less valuable each item becomes. With dailies, it is purely gold rewards from the npc's. And with cooldown items, you're less likely to impact the market negatively with 20 or 50 items per day, compared to say 5000 fish per day.

Indeed, and if you really want to make money fishing you'd probably have to either just fish for fish feast fish in WG, or various locations in northrend for just the high level fish, or travel around all areas to not saturate any part of the market too much.
Or simply fish in multiple locations at once, which would be handy and cool, though would make travel more tedious and less convenient, but would at least keep each char's bobbers and splashes from interfering with each other, having only one bobber on each window makes it easier to see which ones got the bites.

Yeah i ahve tryed to level my other chars fishing i find it fast paced... which imo makes fishing less of a grind :)
So I was waiting for a ToGC to be filled for my main shammie and had my other shammies running with me in Dalaran. I bought them some fishing gear at the fishing spot and trained them. Then I made one macro because I figured fishing was a channeling spell.
/stopmacro [channeling]
/cast fishing
dragged it to my first actionbar position under 1.
So when I press 1 a few times or mash it like crazy it doenst recast on the active fishers..
I then took a long straight walk to the pool to make sure the followers where in exact the same line. Moved the camera to the same position (I dont have any setcamera macros so used default home and end bind). Then moved the chars all on the same spot and switched between screens to see if they lined up. Almost exactly the same. Only problem is my male shammies are taller so there was a little difference in that. Move the camera on them a bit manually. Then check, check double check and started casting my rods.
Put on mouse broadcasting across all screens and just pressed 1 everytime I took one down. This was a fun game for a moment and a decent way to make money if I get them skilled up. Sometimes they hit the same spot and if you catch one on one char the other will find no fish because you haul it in too early. But you will not miss any active bites. Thanks for spawning this thread and making me interested to see what was possible.

I tried this out myself today.
I thought it would be easier, but having issues with it actually.
My shaman group is a mixed race / sec group.
I have a female orc, male orc, x2 female trolls, and a female tauren.
I can't seem to line up the camera exactly on all the toons so which I go to click a bobber with IsBoxer mouse broadcasting turned on, I miss.
So what is the best way to make the perspective on all toons exactly the same so when I click on bobber on the main screen is click the same bobber on the slave screen?

Probably a:
/script SetView(4);SetView(4)
While having each of the toons stacked on top of each other, or as close to standing on the same spot as possible.
You can save the views if you like... and I believe Sam showed a way to edit them in the Config.wtf file, so that's an option too.
