Below is an item from www.worldofwar.net that could have an effect on multi-boxers in WoW and the ability to immediately send gold between characters on different accounts via the mail system. I'm on a break at the office and haven't tried testing this yet to see what's up.
An important one to note this in case you were wondering if the postman has lost your in-game mail and it's something that has gone in with this patch but was missed out in the notes. Blizzard has changed the way the mail functions if you're transferring currency in-game to another character (characters on your own account are not affected for item or gold transfers). Blizzard are obviously trying to watch the economy closely and catch out any dodgy dealings.
As part of our continued efforts to protect the game's economy and ultimately the game-play experience of each individual player, we've made a small change to how an aspect of our mail system works. Just like in-game mail transactions containing items, mail sent with gold, silver, and copper coins attached will in most cases now take one hour to reach the recipient. This change will help us to better ensure the legitimacy of such transactions and further prevent the unlawful influx of currency into each realm’s economy. Keep in mind that this delay will only affect the following mail transactions containing coins:
Regular mail with coins attached.
CoD payments received via the mail system.
Note: This will NOT affect mail sent from one character to another when under the same account.
Update:
A very positive side effect of this seems to be that items sent within an account now also are instantaneous. Good news for everyone with bank characters!
