Boxer Proc Management Bars In Alpha stages! Need community feedback!

I posted on a couple addon makers profiles on wowinterface.com and curse, and sparked some interest for an addon to be made to manage procs and such. Also asked these addon makers to make an addon that would be able to keep trade of my death knights rune usage, from the lead toons screen.

This thread is all about what you'd like to see this addon be able to do, and what kind of options/requests to how/why it would work for you. I've given the three addon makers a rough draft of this "idea" but this thread needs to expand on what i've done, as they're all very interested in potentially making something very nice for us boxers :) they want feedback first tho !!

to start i'll post a couple of my ideas, and hopefully get the ball rolling:

1: i Love the way jamba proc works, with the bars that pop up that countdown/animate until they're used up, but i'd like more customization of it. I want to move the bars, i want to change them from horizontal to vertical, change the scale, and the position, possibly change the shape, Round circles that pop up and count down by rotating clockwise or something, give us some options

2: miks scrolling battle text works great, but can we have an easier to use config screen, specifically designed to our needs, IE Label the lead toon and slaves(like jamba does) then set procs /positions and such with a variable (ie toon names / character sets) MAKE IT EASIER TO USE FOR OUR APPLICATION**



Post here in this thread, lets get these guys some ideas of how we want stuff to work, and hopefully we'll have something working by cataclysm.

before anyone posts "this addon can do that already" Sure they can, but we're asking these addon developers to build US something specifically FOR multiboxers! If you know of an addon that you like, that has good graphical representation or bars/layouts, feel free to link that as well, anything will help in the development process ! :)

My main concern with procs is Art of War and Maelstrom Weapon. My current solution is to pop alerts through MSBT for both active and spent and have only proc-related buffs showing on my party.

Problems with this setup :

when fights get hectic, MSBT can't "hold on" to the alerts long enough, so I lose track of what's up and thus miss procs.

Exorcism has a cooldown which I can't seem to get DBM to recognize, so I often have to look over at my slave's screen to see if I can spend a proc yet. My proc is set up to excor 1st, FoL 2nd so I am not sitting on 90% of my AoW procs, but /stopcasting resets the swing timer, so playing guessing games on if I can use my proc or not can cost me in DPS. What I really want is mod that shows AoW up and its remaining time combined with Exorcism cooldown.

Personally, I love the layout of Deadly Boss Mods Spell Timers. It's simple and effective, but of course, only works for showing how long is left on the cooldown for most spells as opposed to the duration of party procs. If I could get a similar setup for tracking team procs, I would be thrilled.

The easiest way to do this might be to make an addon that takes the MSBT data and output it into a seperate graphical interface that is customizable.

Also... Jamba's proc management doesn't normally catch all the procs for me and only displays one sometimes. Which is kind of odd where on other screens (not the main) it shows 2 or more while the main shows one... or the opposite.

Jamba Proc never should have made it into Jamba 0.5. It was working for a bit until Blizzard changed the way parts of the combat log worked and I've never got around to fixing it. I was hoping Blizzard had made a mistake with the combat log, but it seems that it wasn't a mistake.

I also love the jamba proc and wish Jafula managed to keep this module in the future versions of Jamba ;)

Right now, I rely on my ears to detect proc and it works quite well since I'm really used to detecting stuff by the sound they make and I only run 2 characters so it's quite easy for me to tell which one is the origin of any animation or sound. It gets a bit more difficult when I'm raiding/playing while listening to a music a loud volume level though :P

Back on the subject, what I would like to see is the ability to customize the size of the bars or even choose to display no bar at all, just an icon and/or a text which I can put in a corner of my screen. Yes I really try to keep my interface simple and clean, avoiding cluttering as much as I can.

It would be great if we can change for every Procc a own window and when all Chars ( or special Chars ) habe the Procc there should come a PopUp like CooldownTimer or something :)

i am playing 4 or 5 Moonkins and it would be great to see my Proccs -_-

Elunes Wrath is very important for me, but jamba is still brocen, hope you have a good and a great idea ;)
