View Full Version : Vuhdo Private Tanks + Repeater Region

I'm using...
ISBoxer
VuhDo
+ Repeater Region to allow click throughs to control 4xPally heals/cleanses/etc
Works great!
I have this setup for my PvE and arena team so that the window that gets repeated is ordered alphabetically and I get the same layout for each character. No problems whatsoever for any 5-man content.
Currently, raids/BG raids hose everything.
I have tried using Private Tanks and setting a window to show only Private Tanks, which works fine, but I have to re-assign the private tanks on all characters any time I change groups or logout.
Is there anyway to define a "permanent" private tanks list that persists through login/group formation or to use command line/macros to quickly reload the list of private tanks? I seem to be missing something to make the private tank only functionality easy to use.... it's a real PITA right now so I have just stuck with my previous setup which works well for 5-man stuff and arena.
Thanks in advance!

Maybe there is a macro you can use to set up the private tanks that you could just hit each time you need to?

If the 'Private Tanks' is controlled by slash commands, you could have an IS Boxer mapped key, with as many steps as necessary. Have it send to each window, as desired.
You'd just have to edit the wow macro, in IS Boxer.
Or possibly set it up using {FTL} or {SLOT} commands, so it is dynamic based on your team.
Not really sure what your process is to set the tanks, having never played with Vuhdo.

Yeah, Ualaa, I just don't think that the Private Tanks functionality can be controlled with slash commands.

I have been trying to work at this.. and im finding the same issue, so far i been just assign my private tanks at the begaining of each BG, once i get playing this morning ill work on it again i sorta gave up on it a couple weeks ago but ill start working on it again
I messaged the author Iza a long time ago and asked about this, he said its not possible and not in the plans. For bg's I generally just make the repeater region larger and have that with the options for grouped and sort by name. After getting use to it, I rarely bother with private tanks.
Also I highly recommend putting your dispels on the mouse-wheel. With my druid healer, cure poison and remove curse on up and down.

(sorry for the necro)
Dev told me that private tanks can be set/cleared with a macro now:
/pt Char1,Char2,Char3
/pt clear
but somehow that does not work for me (/pt is not a valid slash-command). Could anyone else check this?
I reported back to the dev and am waiting for a response still.

Got a response from the dev - the macro is "/vd pt char1,char2,char3". "/vd pt clear" works too.
EDIT: important - no spaces between the characters

Is there a way to make the character order the same on tow toons. I run Vudho on my tank and healer, but when I set up the private tanks on them the order is different, even if I use the macro with the names in the same order. Thanks

I have vuhdo set to sort by name on all toons and it seems private tanks are also in that order

I have it set to do by Health, but apparently that doesn't hold true for PT, I'll have to try by name. But the PT thing is awesome for BG's now I don't have to worry about being in the same group. Thanks for the help.
You can set your panels to be ordered different ways. Go to vuhdo options, then panels, and select your private tank panel, then you can change it. Hitting apply all may also work.

For some reason even when I select the Private tanks panel and pick Max HP as sorting it wont change the order. Not sure why that panel wont change at all :(

Do you still have it set to show target and assist in your privtank panel?

Thanks for the help. :) I look forward to see why this one panel won't cooperate.

Is it possible that the PT panel is not sorted at all but simply using the order you used in the macro? Using my macro "/vd pt {slot1},{slot2},{slot3},{slot4},{slot5}" the characters are always in the correct order because I have them alphabetically sorted in the ISBoxer slots and all teams match that naming convention.

Nope it puts it in it's own order no matter how I have them listed in the macro since I tried that and the two toons have them in different order even though I add them the same in the macro. From a post on the Healer Plus forum it seems that the PT panel can't be sorted at all, it has it's own sorting. :(

dev response:
roughly translated: windows containing units that at some time probably not exist (like vehicle = static pet, target, focus) have a fixed sort order that is by unit-id (raid1, raid2, ...).
Since the pt-window can contain focus and targets it matches that category. I will go into more detail with the dev once I'm back at home and can post on the official forum. But he already mentioned that he noticed an increased interest in the pt feature from other sources.

got another response from the dev:
Update: Ich habe ein paar Änderungen vorgenommen, so dass ab der nächsten Version die PTs wie eingestellt sortiert werden.
Starting with the next version of vuhdo the PT-panel will follow the configured sorting.

No I unchecked that part.
Hm. As soon as I unchecked those boxes, they sort perfectly fine.
I see the responses saying that they can't get theirs to sort correctly, but mine have worked all week since 4.2 came out.
