Anyone running them with success?
Trying to get blinks sorted. So, I can get the entire team to blink in the same direction.
Ice blocks on just the mage taking dmg...Man, right now all of em iceblock..not the best solution.
I have em all spellsteal to strip everything off quicker.
I have counterspell on multple keys..and empty on other keys.
Gotta be a way to use one key and only send it to once character ..then next click the next one does it.. Cant figure it out and lost the link to a post that had something on this..
Any other tips help would be AWESOME. I am arcane...super glass cannon but its fun having the instants and Arcane blast arcane barrage tracking targets through walls n stuff.

a little idea for the iceblocking problem...
i hope you are using ISBoxer (or HKN) which allow mouseclicking to pass in regions.
As been posted in other topics here this method is used with addons like Grid+Clique or Healbot to pass clicks to the healer.
Add a region on your main window to pass trough over your Grid addon and use Grid-Custom Layouts to make the party order the same on each screen.
Then enable Clique addon to do Iceblock on right click.
If you see a mage getting a beating, right click on his frame in grid which passes the click to all screens enabling only that mage to iceblock.
not sure if iceblock can be used with Clique, but worth a shot.
Another option would be to use your bar addon to add small bars next to the party screens to allow iceblock to be placed, used with regions to only iceblock that one.
If all else fails, make 5 keybinds to iceblock each individually:
ie. F1 = iceblock char 1
F2 = iceblock char 2.
etc

/castsequence reset=24 counterspell,,, This will Cast silence the first time you press the button, change location of comma to make different rotation on each mage. Set reset timer equal to cooldown. Arcane is imba on few targets but you have weak aoe, fire spec is fun with four blastwaves and aoe that wipes enemy on bosses in av. Check out YouTube.com/dbsullik for a mage multiboxing video in eots. Fairly average gameplay, with skills and gear you will own moar.

That macro works perfect for counterspell
I have isboxer and after talking to the guys in chat they suggested clickbar for my iceblock needs...will let ya guys know the results
Been leveling mostly by pvp so once I hit 80 my learning curve wont be soo rough, have some pvp gear already as I maxed honor once and had to buy some stuff.
There are some things that are difficult to deal with in pvp IE Ret pal and Surv hunters. I have to just keep distance, watch surroundings and so on. Sure it will get a lot better when I actually have some spell power.
I get a lot of hate too from the other side. Had a guy make a lvl one just to tell me to FFF off lol. Rage much Kinda made my day and it came at a point when I was about to abandon my mages.

Ok, the click bar TOTALLY works for independent character iceblock with a mouse click..
See character 2 getting hit by rogue. Click 2nd box and bam just that one iceblocks.. Meanwhile I am still blasting on the rogue applying pressure with my others.
Gonna set this up for my trinket as well

Currently in the process of gearing up my mage team, armory link for my main:
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Magtheridon&cn=G%C3%A4nkdalf
Iceblock: I have a different key mapped for each iceblock, and one for all to iceblock simultaneously.
Nuke: PoM Arcane Blast, Arcane Barrage, Fire Blast
Sustained Burst: Arcane Power, Icy Veins, Arcane Blast
Both of these have one toon opening with slow for the Torment the Weak damage buff.
I also have the problem with toons facing different directions after blink, however I just incorporate my follow macro into my blink macro so I can mash it and it seems to work ok.
My experience so far doing a bunch of BG's:
Mages are the proverbial glass cannon...
They can do a lot of damage while on the move, and even more when stationary. The combination of Slow & Arcane Blast absolutely destroys people. Arcane Blast also has no casting animation which makes it great to hide behind an object that doesn't break LoS and start sniping people (very effective at breaking rushes in AV - a fully buffed arcane blast can one-shot a tank).
5 x Mirror Image is hilarious.
The flip-side is that they are very squishy - 3 or more melee classes at once (especially warriors with lolstorm) will most likely wipe my team (although my survivability is jumping with each gear upgrade).
I'll probably spec into frost and give that a go soon.
Cheers,

A few suggestions I have for the other mage teams. I've been playing 4mage + priest since WotLK release.
1) Get an IWT button + stop moving button ASAP. Me personally I have IWT on mousewheel forward and move backwards on mousewheel backwards. This fixes any blink issues you'll ever have. You can always arcane barrage or fireblast while IWT is helping you face your target. When I blink a quick roll forward then back on the mousewheel faces all my mages at the target.
2) Get used to arcane missiles. Nothing is more hilarious than having some pillar runner step out into LoS for an instant only to have 5x arcane missiles trained on them. This cast will finish right through a wall if it has to. They cannot escape it and it does massive damage. You can easily kill a geared player in one round of arcane missiles while they hide behind a wall thinking they are clever. + if you proc missile barrage on enough mages that is your highest burst skill period.
3) If you do arena. Get macros to sheep all + slow all. by the time they find a way out of this you've blown at least one person up. I personally open with slow then PoM+Sheep arena 1-4 and then blow all cooldowns and nuke.
4) Get round robin frost nova ASAP. It will keep melee away for a long time. Save blinks for bladestorms or after a good frost nova.
5) Use this spec (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#o0xifzrczLGu0pxdZhf0Ik0h:zcmcz) and tune it how you like. Blizzard is your friend. It puts the 20% healing debuff on all and procs a lot of freezes you can then use for some shattered arcane barrages.

This is my mages arcane spec, Ive tried quite abit of specs and ended up liking this one the most. The points spent at survivability makes your team less squishy :)

Thanks for the tips...how do you manage the missile barrage procs? That is the one thing that puts me off spending 5 points into it...

Not wanting to do a direct hijack here, but I finally got my mage team to 80 about 8 days ago and I'm still trying to figure out the best way to move forward with them as well. I would love to give you an armory link, but I can't seem to find any of my toons or guilds on the Armory today
I find myself using nearly nothing but instants against other players, and cast times for Bal/Vann/tanks only. So I'm speced deep arcane currently, with splashes of Frost and Fire for cooldown reductions
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#ocxifzMcdcGuGtedfZ0h
I've started gearing with nothing but required hit and Crit, which has me looking at a new spec -- http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#of0ifzMcdeGzMt0dfVZbI0b
My goal is to maximize the damage of every crit (with Fire and Frost also enjoying Spell Power from Arcane) and use Frostfire Bolt for PoM and for stationary burndowns. I'd love some comments.
Also, I'm still searching for a good Slow and Poly macro. I wrote one, but I'm starting to think that the evaluation logic works from right to left, and not left to right. When I try to use these in arena, I end up just focusing on my then-leader's target.
#showtooltip Slow
/cast [@arena1,exists,nodead] Slow, [@focustarget,harm] Slow, [@focustargettarget,harm] Slow, [@focustargettargettarget,harm] Slow
#showtooltip Polymorph
/cast [@arena1,exists,nodead] Polymorph, [@focustarget,harm] Polymorph, [@focustargettarget,harm] Polymorph, [@focustargettargettarget,harm] Polymorph

I have two different ways I manage missile barrage procs. One for PvE and one for PvP. The PvE one is fairly simple I run a modifier macro for arcane blast with a different modifier for each mage. When unmodified > arcane blast when modified > missile barrage. Then just watch for procs on my party bars or addon of choice.
For PvP however I use PowerAuras. I set up a graphic that looks like the missile barrage icon in a convenient area of my screen. I modified the graphic into 4 separate files that were each 1/4 of the missile barrage icon. I used power auras to track the missile barrage buff on each mage while lighting up a separate 1/4 of the icon. When all mages currently have the buff it lights the whole icon and begins flashing.
I find it worth casting arcane missiles when situationally appropriate really no matter how many mages have missile barrage and when I see that icon near fully lit I generally target switch and blow someone up. I've seen a 4x missile barrage kill a full health target before even finishing the cast. Missile barrage is insanely strong. Especially glyphed against a frozen target (OMG damage).
As for those of you not speccing into the frost tree. I promise the first time you frost nova a warrior mid intercept before he's within melee range and cast a full arcane missiles at him watching him go from 40K health + spell reflect to 0 health and humiliated in 1.5 seconds you'll never stop smiling. Shatter + healing debuff is amazing. I've killed an entire 4 DPS beast cleave team in under 20 seconds with an arcane power + icy veins + improved blizzard.
Also, make sure you evaluate incanters absorption right. Odds are you aren't using it and if your speccing into it your wasting 3 points all together.

Update on my mages... I've been doing the weekend bg since Friday. I have improved greatly over the week leveling mostly by pvp.. Sitting on 5-6 pcs lvl80 epic pvp gear...honor, experience and pvp experience is flowing.
You must be doing well when you run towards the other team and they part the seas. I no longer fear dk's as I figured them out. Arms warriors with that roflcopter crap drives me nuts though. I will usually nova, blink, re-follow then decide to fight or bug out and go invis. If he is by himself I will slow and nuke as he cant close the gap in time. If I have cover to hide behind I can take out the entire team before they know what hit em.
I have iceblock setup on click bar so I can iceblock the one mage..
Counterspell is on a rotation
Nova on a rotation
All spellsteal(man, I like stealing those wings and killing the paladin that gave em to me)
I put focus magic macros to target someone diff and apply so everyone gets it.
Mana gem is on the hot bar
Glyphed Evo to give myself a heal
I still cant get my Blizzard to land at the same spot for some reason..trying to figure out why the master and the 2 slaves do not target the same spot..
One thing I notice is some guys get smart and figure out my main and target him off the bat.I iceblock em, switch screens and got a new main to pound away while they hack on my iceblock.. quite funny sometimes.
I will try the spec you posted when I hit 80.
Having fun now and take the deaths with a grain of salt...

blizzard targeting difference is cause your camera angle is different, plus your alts and not standing in the exact same spot as your main

Any quick way to get the camera angles matched up on all?

add this to your blizzard macro (or make a macro to do this)
/script SetView(4); SetView(4)
/cast Blizzard
and in isboxer make this keybind do the Pass Click option to pass 1 click when to all screens when you activate the macro.
setview(4) is the most used one, you can try setview(3) or (2) or (1) if you prefer that camera angle better.
the second part of the macro makes the setview instant, with only /script setview(4) the camera takes time to move to the new position, the second ;Setview(4) makes the position instant.
i also use /script SetView(4); SetView(4) in my /follow macro to make each window camera the same whenever i mount or reposition after a fear. This makes it easier to see if they are all following or if one of the toons is facing a different direction.

I'm glad I stumbled upon this, Talos. I've been using /script SetView(4) with my DK+Rets team, but I didn't know that adding the second part would instantly snap it into place. Awesome...

Hit 80 and trying to get the frost pet aoe to work kinda like the frost nova..1 at a time but it has to target the ground..Anybody? I could place a macro on each toon the same way but then sometimes it gets stuck in with all cursors cept the window that did something
maybe I did it wrong...dunno
Trying frost but to pull it off I have to be able to control the pet separate on each guy
