Yesterday I was farming some ore in Nagrand with my new team.
Pala @ 74, 1 shammy at 74 and 3 shammies at 73.
A lone level 66 hunter was flying, and i thought, well let's give it a shot.
When he went close i dropped of the mount, had 1 avenger shield and 2 flameshocks at him.
He died due to the dot of the 2 flameshocks, he dropped dead of his mount.
I carried on mining and flew to Area 52.
Suddenly one of the slaves got whisperd by a lvl 70 alliance.

After that no more responses.
After a while it struck me, and i reported him for threatening.
I think he wasted more time relogging to his alliance char and I even suspect he killed me quite some times on his lvl 80 warrior.
Couldn't kill that one :( Ressed in front of him, dropped 4x fire totem and got him down to 10%, (of the 28k he had) then he killed me. If i had more health, i surely could have killed him.
He even attacked me in mid air and tumbled (together with my corpse) to his dead. Now that's wasting time.
Had to share this with you guys. I have gotten some hate now and then, but this is just sick.

I think you might be getting ganking and camping mixed up.
I would consider a gank as being a kill that the opponent doesn't have a chance of winning. ie...your 5 characters who already were 7 levels higher against his one - I would consider that a gank.
If it was 1v1 and you killed him....the level difference introduces a grey area, but it's not quite so blatantly a gank.
Now, if you kept killing him.....that would've been corpse camping.
Don't see this as an attack. Occassionally if the whim takes me, I'll do the same.....particularly if it's for a PvP objective such as the ones in Hellfire Peninsula. I am aware however that it is ganking.

Yeah....it's a PvP server....it's gonna happen. If I were to log an ally and QQ everytime my team were killed and camped, I'd have got nothing done.

True. Everytime some lvl 80 hordie killed me while leveling, and i had to relog and whine to them, i still was level 10.
Imho Blizzard never should have made it possible to create chars of both factions on a PVP realm.

You should have reported him for threatening you IRL.
As a long time PvE carebear that finally migrated to a PvP server...... Go back to PvE if he's butthurt over getting ganked.

One of my first experiences on a PvP server was getting corpse camped for about 30 minutes. I reported it and the gm response was that it was a PvP server and I should expect that from time to time. I was really pissed off but eventually learned to just log on another set of alts and keep playing.
I just couldn't believe some asshat could sit with his 80 and waste time killing me over and over for that long, just for greifing's sake.

I had a similiar experience. When questing with my first team (5 shamans) in netherstorm a few months ago, a solo ally hunter hunter who was a few levels below me started attacking me while I was at a quest giver. I promptly despatched him. Then he spent the next good while wiping my team with his 80 warrior. If I really wanted revenge I could always go get my mains......but meh. I managed to get them rezed, mounted and up in the air before he could get me.....fly to an in and log for a bit. Play an alt, level trade skills, do some money making in the AH if it get's really bothersome.

One of my favorites is to find people like this on my 4mages and priest and beat em down to about 10% and sheep them or mind control them and get them healed back up to full about 10-12 times before killing them. Second favorite requires specific areas of the world but bring my druid / rogue / priest / mage and use near infinite CC chains + mind control to take my sweet time walking them over to a cliff and make them bite a repair bill from a falling death.

Warlocks against a caster. Fear then drain mana is fun :)

My first experience (pre-tbc, 1 char) is being killed by lvl 60's while being low level, and being corpse camped all the time... Mix up makes sense imho then :) Ganked and corpse camped at the same time, like lots of other ppl.
Bliz isn't really fast, my ticket is still open.

Ok, this I have got to try out. Would be priceless doing it to someone in Ouland. Just walk them off the face of the world. GY rez would be their only option, then you can camp them that way and do it all over again :D But then again, it's for reasons like these I switched to a PvE server back before TBC. Bad enough it took me forever to hit 70 long after it came out, so I never got to experience the opening of AQ and the Gate.
