View Full Version : [ISBoxer] Healer configuration
Hi there,
I want to play 1 druid (tank) and 4 shamans (3 ele + 1 rest) and am using ISBoxer and Jamba. I've just setted things up when servers went down and I havn't found out how 1 shaman could heal others. Do I have to build some macros by myself or is there some "simple" / out-of-the-box solution for healing? (build in ISBoxer)
How do you do it?

I would just make them all elemental and have them all heal the tank with a /cast [target=focus] lesser healing macro.
The other option would to set macros with hotkeys on your number pad for healing if your not already using the number pad.
I'll do instances, will I be able to run through them, kill mobs and do damage the same time? I guess no and thats the point.
I just want some1 to heal my babies, while they are in combat killing some mobs. Btw. with 4 shamans healing each other, I'll need 16 macros/keys (complete numpad). Plus one for tank healing. With 1 heal shaman I'll have only 5 keys for healing.

If you have ISboxer you should use Healbot or Vuhdo.
Just align the add-on on your main and healer then use the ISBoxer mouse repeater regions. You put the repeater region over the Healbot/Vuhdo and block local click. It's friggen awesome.
Trying to find the video on Youtube on how to do it- but here's the documentation.

I would spec them all Elemental.
But replace one of them with either a Warlock or a Boomkin.
Boomkin brings more toys to the table (innervate, battlerez, mark, thorns, root, cyclone, treants) and has strong single/multi-target dps... but will require you to manage Eclipse procs.
Warlock brings some utility (water breathing, soul stones, health stones, pet buff, summons) and has similar boss dps, superior aoe, but will generally do lesser damage on trash.
Either gets you 13% spell power, and even a severely undergeared Druid/Warlock, will increase your teams DPS by a large margin, plus gearing comes over time.
I replaced a Shaman with a Warlock who was 2000 GS behind, and the team was instantly able to beat three heroic bosses which I was close to, but unable to beat before.
Even if you stick with 4x Shaman, spec them all Elemental. 4x Healing Stream is very good passive healing. Chain Heal is a party complete heal, and Lesser Healing Wave will be a tank complete heal.
Mechanically, I'd go with both a macro heal and repeater regions.
The macro heal should go on an FTL DPS key (one of, 1 through =).
This is purely for healing a same faction toon who is not in your party or raid.

And take a look at Repeater Regions for healing. A written guide: http://isboxer.com/index.php/component/content/article/32-guide-wow-ualaa-grid-clique-repeater and videos: http://isboxer.com/index.php/videos/42-wow-video-zanthor-healing-101 and http://isboxer.com/index.php/videos/33-wow-video-tovya-repeater
Wow. Thank you - some very good tips. (btw. I took your ref link for IS ;-))
I won't take a warlock with me, I've got one on lvl 56/57 and if I change my mind I'll just take him there. But I really don't like them to play.
I can't really see the advantage in taking a boomkin with me. It's just a second druid I'll take with me and I never played this class and can't really play it.
IF I would change one shaman out, I'd take a mage (water, food, int buff, sheep, dmg).
Your opinion?
Ok, I'm stuck for today. I watched the vids and the guide.
I've done the repeater region think as overlay for healbot and now I've got a problem - my chars aren't in the same order on my main and my toon.
Do you know how to solve this?
I've also got another problem. I can't auto-complete quests. I'm getting lua errors and so on. It's really wired.
Can you tell me a good guide for configuration of jamba AND ISBoxer together?
I use vuhdo formy region healing. You can sort by name and deselect my toon is always nr 1. That way you always have working list for if some random would join. It is possible with grid and healbot also, but even for my solo healng I switched to vuhdo.
isboxer and jamba interaction is the only thng i have not found reading material on. But the thng is they do play nice and its a good black box you dont have to stress about. What error are you getting, are you sure its isboxer addon or jamba?

A google search is showing...
Heal Bot Options >> Healing Tab >> select Alphabetical Sort.
For the Jamba, go to Quest Completion.
You can either have each toon have to select their own option.
Or for each toon to take the same option as the rest of the team.
I've not messed around with it, but there is another option to take the best upgrade.
I have mine set, so if there is one choice or no choice, they auto complete.
But if there is a choice, they complete with the team.
Unless a given toon has a choice selected for themselves, in which case they go with that.
I'm not getting LUA errors from Jamba.
Are you using the latest version?
Ok, thank you for your help.
HealBot is now set-up like you said, but it hasn't done anything. I'll restart wow and try this again.
I've reinstalled jamba - had 0.5d and now have 0.5d ... Lua errors are gone, but it doesn't do anything.
Could you please tell me HOW you do it? (ex. turn in on master and toons turn in automatically)
Do I have to press some special key combination?
I tracked down another problem. If I assist my main, there's no problem - on one of my toons it won't do anything. Problem exists in FTL modifiers (so far I could track it). FTL Modifiers: Main "Left shift" (works) toons are on "Left ctrl", "left alt", "right ctrl" & "right shift".
Hope some1 can help me here..
